K	Karitas Mitrogogos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This wine bar/ restaurant has got one of the best selection of local and international wines, lots available by the glass through their Coravin preservation system ... something I really like as it gives you an option to taste wines you may not know without having to buy a whole bottle! ?? I also like that they are open every day in the week and in summer you can enjoy a glass of wine with or without food in their urban garden across the street. Actually it's one of my favorite summer outdoor dining locations in central Athens! ??? In the winter months I prefer their twinkling arcade from their inner rooms but wherever seated the service is always friendly & professional.

For us it was a bit hard to navigate the huge wine list but luckily we got some help to get some wine by the glass to try out various Greek wine. It would have been great for us to see the bottle when we got the wine served as it was a bit hard to understand all the details that we got from the waiter. I would love to visit this place again if I go back to Athens to explore more Greek wines.

I was attended by a lady to whom we discussed about the typical Greek grape variety and she showed me a serie of xinomavro which I tasted among others. It has a large variety of wine coming from all over the world. There is a nice cosy set up inside coming among with dimanche light with jazzy playlist on background. She also recomanded me other wine bar in Athen which resulted being great places too.

Service is polite and professional , you definitely need a reservation and the variety of wines is one of a kind for Greece ! The menu has a few selected choices and from the dishes we tried the ceviche, the salad and the mushroom risotto everything had a twist to it and was unique. Only downside is that it’s a bit overpriced and at at least 30€p.p you would expect to be treated to some mastique or limoncello at the end.

The service was great, and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining the nuances of Greek wines. Recommended to anyone looking to try Greek wines and learn about the local winemaking.

I was greeted with a smile and served wonderful flight of Greek wines from different varieties and regions. I had an opportunity to learn a lot about local wine making. The servings for 0.075 glasses varies around €5 but are worth every cent.
