CALILO - Papas Beach

Amazing resort, very private with a beautiful cristal water beach. The staff is very friendly and all the room types are amazing. This is really a place you have to stay in, even if it’s just during a short stay. What stands out from this resort is privacy. This is why some celebrities come here to spend their vacations (like Justin and Hailey Bieber) and that comes at a price. It’s true that the most basic room options are still affordable but all the rest may be a bit expensive due to the exclusiveness experience. We loved it, we were very well received here and we felt like we were at home. The owners are fantastic people and if you have the chance to meet them, it’s an additional treat. The resort is still evolving, many new services and facilities will come although the number of current rooms will remain more or less the same. A few recommendations: - when booking ask for Eleni, she’s amazing, a true Swiss clock in terms of booking efficiency. -arrive to the island by ferry or helicopter. Private boat may not be worth it -the true Calilo experience comes with the high end suites. The basic rooms are a good option but for the exclusive experience I recommend the Calilo room

This destination is a dream. You can't imagine what you'll find there. Both scenery and location is simply put, AMAZING.

A big thank you to the whole team ! The hotel is located in an amazing spot, the rooms offer spectacular views ! Food is good, beach is super nice ! A big thank you to George for his availability all the time and to the General Manager, who is always here in the hotel ! You can see him everyday, wherever you go ! This is what we call a very well managed hotel ! :)

We would like to thank the calilo team for the unforgettable days. a resort with such a friendly and warm personality. We were greeted warmly when we were greeted. the rooms are a dream. the staff extremely friendly and attentive. the atmosphere is heavenly and the food is upscale. We are grateful for the unforgettable days and hope that the corona requirements will soon come to an end so that you can see the smiling faces of all employees again, because the concept is love and smlie and happiness.

Best resort in the world. You must come here to experience it. Plan to stay at least 3 nights. We had the beach suite and it was mesmerizing. I'd recommend not bringing a car to the island as you have to book your ferry ticket in advance + you have a 45min mountain drive. Plus you'll be at the resort the whole time. Also bring all your snacks and favorite booze before you get to Ios.

It’s as unreal as the pictures make it seem! Absolutely gorgeous and unspoiled land and beach that will make your jaw drop. You feel like you truly get to escape on your vacation. The owner integrated his own art into the decor throughout the resort and it’s so fresh and unique! The entire staff is incredibly responsive and helpful with whatever you may need! The restaurant has generous portions as well (not one of those places leaving you hungry after the meal!). The beach is something out of a postcard, with cabanas available through reservation with no charge to those staying at the resort. The rooms were sleek, modern, and gorgeous. If you have any doubts about spending your vacation here, know that you will not be disappointed!

Calilo is the most beautiful and peaceful place you could choose for your holidays whether on your own, with your family, with some friends or with your partner!!! Everything is stunning and beautifully blended in nature as the stones used to build the hotel come from the surroundings. The rooms are incredible, staff very friendly and the food delicious! You can only fall in love with the place and what I love even more about it is that it is a family business, we have met the owners at the hotel who are just such lovely people, very passionate and welcoming! We will be back for sure!
