★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is very good and food was great. They have free sunbeds (but the see is a little strong here, so hard to get in with the kids). The restaurant has nice tables by the sea! Worth the visit! Saw a lot of people eating lunch and going to the sunbeds to take a nap afterwards!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, friendly service and very pleasant location. The restaurant offers free sunbeds, the beach have a mix of sand and pebble and is not very suitable for kids. I had an awesome and super fresh crawfish, maybe the best I've ever had. Worth the trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely dinner during our stay in Sfinari, with attentive service, wonderful grilled fish and a nice sunset. We personally preferred it to the other restaurants at the beach. The whole dinner including fish for two with three sides (tzatziki, chips, Zucchini), bread, wine, dessert and raki cost us less than €50.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing seafood and fish. Very Cretan village style taverna to relax and try the seafood. Be careful with the starters - the portions are really big. It’s managed and served by local family - very friendly anf nice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Captain Fidias is a non-touristic fish destination. It’s a family business founded by Captain Fidias, who walks around greeting guests while his family carries on his fish legacy. The fish are caught in the seaside by the restaurant and catalogue varies according to what they’ve been able to catch. Legit and authentic.

We arrived here after a long day in Elafonisi beach and were very hungry. Captain Fidias is a family owned restaurant. Captain Fidias welcomed us himself and offered us raki shots and some peach. He is such a kind hearted person that we really felt home. His sons go fishing every day and we were presented with their catches of the day and we selected two fish (Fagri and Sarpa). We also ordered octopus.
The restaurant is not a touristic destination but the sea food was one of the bests (if not the best) we have ever tried. Simple but delicious.
In the end we were offered more raki shots (which was also homemade by Captain Fidias and were amazing) with homemade Lukumades (which was served with cinnamon and honey) that we enjoyed a lot.
If you want to have a unique experience of a local greek restaurant and have a great seafood with great view of the sea, this is a place you MUST visit.
