They offered us a good price of 45€ for two days all including (with insurance & without caution he told us). But as we went to get the car they wanted to charge us 40€ (20 per day) to avoid the caution of 1000 and to have the insurance included. So in total 85€ which is more than other company's. I tried to pay the caution with credit card and he told me it doesn't work (and I had enough money on the card).
So a total rip off! They just want to charge everything secretly!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price what will tell you does not come with 100% insurance!!! They will charge you 20€ + for each day, otherwise you will have to pay deposit for 1200€. Car was in horrible condition with many damage and dirty. Last thing was, when the one guy ask us: Do you believe in coronavirus?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First year I was traveling in Crete and I was looking to rent a small car for a good price. I found few good offers, but in the end I chose Caravel. There was a concurrent company(I will not mention the name), who tried to convince me that other company’s don’t have full insurance etc. and they tried to sell the car more expensive. But in my experience with Caravel, I got the car for better price and all the insurance! Thank you guys for the good service, see you next year!:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you look in the dictionary for scammers, the car rental companies in Crete are listed at the top and at the top of them you will find Caravel. I can understand if people want to make money in the high season, no question. However, one should communicate certain things clearly and not try to get money in such a fraudulent way. I can only agree with the other reviews.
Either you are willing to block 2000€ on your credit card as excess or you pay daily over 70€ for a car that you want to book for 7 days. Not even in Germany you pay so much for such cars. Very bad scam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my friend wanted to rend a car in Stalida, Crete (Stalis). We agreed on a price, discussed the terms. I asked the worker (blonde haired girl), if that was the final price, with full insurance etc.. She said yes, of course, we left a deposit for 50 EURO and went. The next morning we went to take the car, there was another worker, and he said, that we need to leave 1800 EURO deposit, freeze the money on your the banking card, and if some scratches appear on the car or somebody breaks your car, they just keep the money. We said, that we didn't discuss these terms yesterday, we don't have this much money in our bank account. He said "You didn't talk to me, I don't know anything". So we just cancelled the deal, the deposit of 50 EURO was returned and we just left.
Big question here is WHY? Why to work like this, when there are other companies like APEX, which has only 5 stars reviews here. You will receive another 1 star review and collapse your business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very good experience renting a small car for 2 days: prices are decent, no problem for the check-in and checkout, the cars are in very good condition, and the staff is super nice. They also gave us excellent tips of great places to visit in Crete !
