It felt more like staying at a loving family members house instead of staying in a hotel. We had arranged a hike at Samariá Gorge very early and they even prepared breakfast for us in advance to enjoy before our hike and added sandwiches for us to take and enjoy on our hike!! The upstairs room has a gorgeous harbor view from the balcony to enjoy your time with your significant other while. You have to stay here if you visit.

Casa Leone is a step back in time that makes your visit to this beautiful city that more special. The location is ideal for all Chania activities. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable, and the decor reflecting the time period. That said the rooms have all the modern conveniences needed such a mini fridge and good AC. Everything was impeccably clean. The breakfast was excellent and very generous. The staff were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We could not have been happier with our choice.

Quick tip: since cars are not allowed in the harbor area, if you’re driving, stop nearby and drop off luggage with one of your party, then go park the car. Saves you time having to wheel luggage a few hundred yards from parking to hotel.

Note you are not able to park at the hotel but there is a free public lot close by and the hotel staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of the city and things to do.

Breakfast was different every morning and any special requests were well catered. All staff members were super friendly and welcoming with special shout out to Olga - thank you for your kindness and hospitality!

We arrived a bit early before the room was ready but the staff thoughtfully set us up on the balcony overlooking the water with cookies and drinks while we waited. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend and hope to return again.

I loved my room with a balcony that overlooked the harbor and also the picture window that framed the lighthouse.In the evening time when the lighthouse is all lit up the view is beautiful. The owners and staff are very friendly and really helpful with anything you need.It is a clam relaxing hotel and the breakfast is the best way to start your day. I was there in February and even though the nights are cold the room has lots of heat. The bed is super comfortable and the bedroom furniture is very eye catching. I loved my stay at this hotel and i look forward to another visit to there beautiful city of Chania.
