Not really a site worth seeing - I usually love old structures but the "Castle" consists of a single tower that looks recently restored, which takes away from the authenticity. It's really just a bunch of haphazardly placed, new-looking bricks and stones. It's alright to see passing by, but don't make a trip out of it.

Nice and stylish place to grab a drink in the middle of the old town Paroikia. It's a good choice for a night out.

Don't go expecting a full castle. This is the ruins of one which have since been surrounded by more modern buildings, though there is a poetic justice that the castle which was built from Athenian temples was then used to build houses. I do like the idea of a Medieval castle hidden in the streets with little sections of it visible - a cornerstone here and stairway there, but Paros should make more of it. Giving this site 5 stars is silly in a country that contains the Acropolis and that's coming from a history buff.

Fascinating detour if walking around the old town. Not really a destination attraction but worth making the effort of you're already nearby. The ancient Greek temple near the castle offers more to see, including spectacular views over the bay. Would be amazing to visit at sunset. Didn't seem to be busy for the duration of our visit mid afternoon.

A short walk from the port away. There is also a public toilet at the waterfront side. You will have a nice view of Paros Bay from the top.

It's a shame how Greek Authorities are taking care of their heritage. I know that there are a lot of tourists in the islands, but I think Greeks people deserve much more culturally speaking. Greece is not only the Acropolis, it is much more and we are losing a lot of historical places like this one because of the lack of investment in restorations. Even so, the place is still amazing.

A bit of a disappointment, as there is no longer a 'Castle' to see- BUT considering this castle was built in the 1200's, I guess that's to be expected. The architecture is very unique because it was believed to be built using a variety of available materials available at that time. Well worth seeing on a trip to Paros, and it doesn't take long because you can't go in.
