 One of the largest and most important monasteries in the area, with a similar history to accompany it. Built on a rock and mountain, it has the convent's rooms, a souvenir room, a museum, a church and of course incredible views.

The cemetery church of Agios Pantos, in the Monastery of the Great Cave. From a path that leaves on the left from the entrance to the cemetery we can visit the Cross, in memory of the monks executed by the Germans, and higher up the fortress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most spiritually reflective places in all of Greece. Between the religious significance and the brutality of the Nazis, it’s dualism is nothing short of overwhelming. The stunningly beauty of the monastery, artwork, history and the landscape is completely opposed to the atrocities that the Nazis committed here. If you leave here unaffected, you aren’t human. Anyone that visits Western Greece (Patra, Diakafto, etc) MUST visit here!
