★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breath taking view and historic monastery built in the rock face of the mountain. A very popular destination for domestic and international religious tourism as it is an Orthodox Christian monastery. This was the site where the Greeks announced their struggle for independence. It is a very beautiful area for hiking.

This former Monastery was Impressively built on to the side of a mountain by two brothers. A shepherd girl is then said to have found an icon of The Virgin Mary in one of its caves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very impressive Greek Orthodox monastery by the edge of a cliff. There is a holy cave and numerous rare and valuable objects like paintings, books, flags etc. It is one of the most important religion places in Greece. Highly recommended. You will definitely enjoy the visit.
