He received this name “Platsani” due to the legend of a fisherman having heard a voice directing him to build a church facing the sea after having found the image of the Virgin Mary at sea.
In front there is the mosaic of cobblestones with the image of 3 dolphins that appeared in the film MAMA MIA.
It is the most popular place for tourists to meet in the Oia area.

Super crowded but got a nice scenery view.

It is located in the heart of the village, on the main square. The front of the building is decorated with arched windows and has a bell tower in the shape of a pyramid containing six bells. Above the entrance door there is a gilded mosaic.
