Στις 10/11/2015, τελέστηκαν από τον Σεβ. Μητροπολίτη Ύδρας, Σπετσών και Αιγίνης κ.κ. Εφραίμ τα θυρανοίξια και ο εγκαινιασμός του θυσιαστηρίου του νέου παρεκκλησίου. Τον Σεβασμιώτατον τον περιέβαλαν ο Γενικός Επίτροπος Αίγινας π. Αμφιλόχιος Γελαδάκης, ο π. Δαμασκηνός Μούρτζης, ο ιεροδιάκονος π. Στυλιανός Κουτσούκος και ο εφημέριος π. Ηλίας Διακουμάκος. Γραφικό το παρεκκλήσιο, το φυσικό κάλλος δέσποζε, η θρησκευτική κατάνυξη περίσσευε και το πλήθος των πιστών με αισθήματα συγκίνησης παρακολούθησε την ακολουθία. Ο Σεβασμιώτατος, κατά την ώρα της τελετής εξηγούσε τα τεκταινόμενα με απλότητα και σαφήνεια. Ιδιαίτερα μνεία έκανε για τους Αγίους Ακύλα και Πρίσκιλλα, συνεργάτες του Αποστόλου Παύλου, ώστε το εκκλησίασμα να απολαύσει στιγμές ψυχικής αγαλλίασης. Στην συνέχεια εδόθησαν πλούσια κεράσματα στο «Ενοριακό κέντρο του Αγίου Σώζοντος» και η σεμνή τελετή ολοκληρώθηκε με τραγούδια των μαθητών του Δημοτικού σχολείου Πέρδικας. Οι Άγιοι Απόστολοι Ακύλας και Πρίσκιλλα ήταν ένα αγαπημένο ζευγάρι Ιουδαίων που καταγόταν από την Πόντα και μαρτύρησαν επί Νέρωνα. Η μνήμη τους εορτάζεται στις 13 Φεβρουάριου, και θεωρούνται η Ορθόδοξη εκδοχή του Καθολικού Βαλεντίνου. The Holy Apostles of Aquila and Priscilla were a beloved couple of Jews who came from Ponta and testified against Nero. Their memory is commemorated on February 13, and are considered the Orthodox version of Catholic Valentine's Day.
