I do prefer to do business with local companies for ethical reasons, so can look back on several companies. They were all trustworthy and professional, but Sunrise had the top-notch quality that the personnel on site was very good in English, and experienced (OK, Greece has a good education, so most people are multilingual, but still stood out). Good car, as booked, price reduction when paid by cash, very good value for money with all insurance covered (actually the best deal I ever had). We rented end of October so in a quiet time, and I realise that small companies have a smaller team so it might take longer when it is busy. That’s common sense to accept, though. You get picked up at the airport, then drive to the office by the main road near the airport (all rental car offices are lined up there), do the paperwork and off you go. We returned to the New Port office and even got a free ride back to the centre, which in my opinion was an extra effort. I will definitely be back and can only recommend to make them your quick dial choice for cars.

Our cruise stopped in Corfu so we thought we’d hire a car to see the island. The lads gave us directions to all of the best locations to visit, which we did and this was one of the highlights of the holiday. They advised for future bookings to give them a call and they would collect you from the port to save the walk.

The rep from the car hire company was very quick to point out any marks and urged me to take photos of 'this and that', this put me at ease straight away. On pick up, there was a problem taking card payment and we were a little concerned, but to our surprise this was no worries for the rep who simply gave us the car and we payed on the last day...absolutely fantastic! Very flexible and great communication, they actually dropped the car off earlier at no extra charge because they were in the area. Finally, we were greated both times with an extremely friendly attitude and I would 100% use them again. Thanks.
