I totally fell in love with this place, especially the view, it was absolutely stunning. Could not get enough of sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. Can't wait to come bach to this beautiful, peacefull & de-stressing place. Nice clean rooms & the staff was very sweet and helpfull. OBS! Not suitable for poor walkers / mobility-impaired. It is very downhill / steeply.

Fantastic view and atmosphere, nice rooms, pleasant staff, great salt water pool. Food is OK but not great. Have to walk some to get to a proper beach (there is a small boarded pier with sun beds though and a couple of free kayaks to lend).

I just spent a week at Costa Smeralda and I had the lovliest time. Rooms: Amazing ocean view in every room, good fridge and freezer, very fresh and nice mattrasses, good balcony and overall modern and nice. The bedframe was creaking, you could hear guests even in other rooms moving in their beds. The toilet didn't flush good, it couldn't flush poop. It was the only downside, the room has a waterboiler and coffemaker with mugs and glasses, but no cutlery. Food: A good hearty breakfast, mostly the same every day, but good quality. There was also a buffet in the evenings which was relatively simple, but good and you got your money's worth. The poolbar served amazing drinks, and had maybe 5 different meals, for vegetarians; mostly greek salad and pizza. Location: it is good to rent either a car, motorbike or regular bike. Sivota center is a 10 min walk for restaurants and shopping, and somewhat of a climb back. Assets: the Hotel has a very nice pool with saltwater with a jacuzzi part built in which is free to use how much you like. There is also a private pier down at the sea, a great location for swimming and snorkling! All in all I had a magical time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time in Greece. I would have given 5 stars for a better toilet, a somewhat better ac (nights were warm) and a non-creaking bedframe.

After driving for nearly 7 hours from Athens we arrived to Costa Esmeralda and encountered the most unbelievable unprofessional and distasteful experience ... wow... they falsified the room booked for four persons and when confronted instead of finding a solution to the issues we were told to leave told it was not their problem faced with aggression and complete disrespect. Told we were are not needed there. It was bookings.com whom when we finally spoke with that refunded our money at full cost and apologized for the blatant lies and behavior of the management and owner at Costa Esmeralda whom we still remain in utter disbelief at the aggression and unprofessional behavior... If dignity is important do not visit or stay at this place.

The good: -Very good location -Friendly staff The bad: -Very small and inconvenient rooms -Plumbing and electrical and fixture problems that don't get fixed -Dangerous and illegal constructions - be ware if you have kids! Rusty nails transforming unmaintained swimming platform into a mine field, "protective" railings that can let a bear fall through them into the void, amongst many other construction faults and defects... -Very poor breakfast -Misleading photos that make this little hotel look like a big complex! -Impolite, rude and unfriendly management -Dishonest bookings - be ware not to settle upfront in full -Extremely bad value -AS SOME OTHER VISTORS PUT IT IN GREEK: HELL IN PARADISE!! MY SINCERE ADVISE: Do not commit before you read the negative reviews!! (And try to not be misled by some possibly guided - biased comments)

Beautiful place, 4 houses with 6 rooms each, located on steep slope, each room with a large terrace, overwatching a green bay. Own infinity pool with bar, no beach, but a nice wooden platform with 4 umbrellas and sunbeds, stairs into calm turquoise see (Great for snorkeling btw). Note, nearby hotels also don't have beaches, but only this one has taken care of a nice platform on top of sequence of rocks. Rooms are not big, but all necessary is there incl. hotel beach towels. Cleaning and towel changing every day. Stuff is very polite and helping.

We stayed here for two nights. The best feature is the view which goes on forever and you can see the little Islands surrounding the town. The breakfast was very good. The best feature is again the walk down to the bottom to sit by the ocean where you can slip in through the rocks and spend time swimming in the bay below. A swimming pool is beautiful but quite warm and very salty. The one negative for this location was the room. Make sure you do not get the room that has the space underneath the steps as is his very constricting
