Splendid archaeological site nestled on the mountainside. After doing Athens and Olympia, we were afraid to see a bit of the same thing and this site is really different. The view from the amphitheater is magnificent, watch out for cardio: it goes up quite a bit to get this beautiful view. Remember to visit the museum and the 2 other sites below which are included in the entry at 12 € per person.

Die Kombination aus atemberaubender Landschaft und prächtigen Ruinen verleiht Delphi und der Region um den Berg Parnassos eine mystische Atmosphäre. Ein Ort voller Magie. Einfach großartig! 12,00 € Eintritt incl. Museum

The historical relevance is what brought me here, however signs going around the site was not very clear or existed or closing times. I liked the cats around - it would've been better if there were signs telling you where to go instead of the map that wasn't clear at all as I missed the theater and was too tired to go all the way back up again!!

Wonderful site! It's even better if you pick up one of the guides available in shops in town. I bought one ahead of time, and could figure out what each pile of stones used to be! It was really interesting to be in this place that people had worshipped at for more than 3000 years, seeing what they'd left behind and what had been unearthed. It's hot for a lot of the day, being on the side of the mountain and all, but it's totally worth it. I'd recommend not coming with a tour, so you can explore all the nooks and crannies and hike up to the old stadium behind the site! There's lots of great hotels and restaurants in town, and if you stay the night you can come when the site opens and avoid the rush!

Historic site with the most incredible and lush landscape - definitely worth the visit if you are traveling through the Peloponnese. Many of the hotels and restaurants in Delphi town have an amazing view as well, so suggest staying there for the night. Don't forget asking advice from the Oracle of Delphi ;)

Delphi is obviously a very important site for Ancient Greek history and so not to be missed. Mount Parnassus is stunning and the entire area in and around Delphi is absolutely beautiful. The site itself is not very large, but there’s fascinating things to see including the remains of the Agora, the Temple of Apollo, the Theatre and the Stadium. Bring good shoes and water because the hike up to the stadium, while not long, is steep, a bit slippery, and not overly shaded. Expect the site to be very busy, especially if there are tour buses/groups there when you go. Better/more signage for the site would be the only thing I could suggest for improvement or which took away from our experience.
