ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I don’t write reviews much anymore, but wanted to make sure I did in this case since the Google reviews mixup for this restaurant almost prevented me from making a reservation. Delta is still very new, but they’re operating like an establishment that’s been around for years. Everything about my meal was flawless, from the pacing to the service to (obviously) the food and cocktails. I’ve been to many Michelin starred restaurants around the world, including a handful of 3 stars, and Delta is just as good if not better than most of them (and very fairly priced, too). Honestly can’t fault them for a single thing - the shrimp, cod, sweetbread, and seaweed dessert were my favourite courses, but I found all of the others to be delightful as well. Including photos of the aforementioned dishes, but I won’t spoil the full experience - you’ll just have to discover it for yourself :)

This is without any doubt the BEST dining experience I've had in Greece and one of the best ones in the whole world. Completely innovative, unique ideas, nothing that resembles traditional or modern Greek cuisine, but at the same time relies on Greek nature and its abundance of ingredients. The first impression as we entered the restaurant was the interior design of it. The hanging trees from the ceiling along with the Scandinavian architecture that honors simplicity is captivating. Every single detail of the place (the bar, the chairs, the tables, the utensils and dishes) were well thought and in accordance with the ambience of the room. Staff was extremely polite, helpful and always willing to answer all of our questions (we did ask a lot of these!). Regarding the food, which is of course the most important element: The chefs had worked for many years in Michelin-starred restaurants that feature Nordic cuisine (Geranium, Maaemo, Under). Their mentality is based on fresh, raw and seasonal ingredients (they have actually created and maintain their own farm in a suburb of Athens), sustainability (trying to minimize food waste and using most of each ingredient), simplicity in appearance, but at the same time complexity in flavors and textures, usually through fermentation and preservation, something common in Nordic cuisine. We chose to do the omnivore menu that consists of a bit of everything. There are also 2 other options (vegetarian and vegan) that looked very interesting (judging from the tables next to us). My personal favorite dishes were: a) the uni, which resembles an uni, without using any real one at all. Exquisite textures and flavor. b) celery root, which was cut to an amazing detail to look like a flower and accompanied by a very tasty sauce made from Greek cheese, c) the squid, perfectly steamed in oil from the core of dates and stuffed with lightly charred Jerusalem artichokes, d) the cod, cooked to an absolute perfection, e) the desserts, but more specifically the crispy seaweed stuffed with semolina cream and koji, which is a reference to a very traditional Greek desert (called "galaktompoureko"), was my personal favorite and a taste that I can still actually remember. Except from the flavors, I have to mention that in many dishes there was an element of surprise that made us smile and at the same time wonder how they came up with the idea and executed it. I really cannot find any negatives to any of the dishes, except from perhaps the lamb saddle that was a bit chewy and not pleasantly fatty. We did not do the wine pairing, but tried couple of juice drinks that were also pretty good. Delta is a one of a kind restaurant. Certain people might find flavors and elements of the menu tough to understand and appreciate (and that explains the few completely unreasonable negative reviews in here), but one should visit Delta with an open mind and ready to experience a unique culinary journey. I am proud as a Greek that my home country is finally able to host such a restaurant that has nothing to envy from equivalent ones abroad with multiple awards and Michelin stars. I confidently believe that these awards will soon come for Delta as well. P.S.: I also noticed there are a few old reviews of the previous Delta restaurant that has nothing to do with the current one. I would urge you not to pay attention to it.

Look any further. Forget about spondi or any other 1 star Michelin in Athens. This is the restaurant to go. Amazing serving but even better food and experience!!

I walked in on March 24th 2022, along with a friend, both of us prepared to hate the restaurant. We had read so many bad reviews that had negatively impacted us. Alas, how wrong we were! Starting with the ambience and moving forward with the professionalism of the staff, we knew we were off to a good start. We both opted to go for the omnivore menu with the wine pairing. I can honestly say that this is one of the best, if not THE best, meal of my life. I see no reason in going on analysing each course separately as they were all exceptional (maybe with one or two exceptions which were simply very good). Additionally, the wine pairing worked really well with everything we ate. Imagine, we went ahead and bought one of the wines we were served. The biggest win of the place for me is that it managed to turn two people prepared to hate it into two of its biggest fans. Bravo Delta team and thank you for one of the best experiences of my life! I will be back as soon as my finances allow it!

We were invited to dinner and didn't have to pay ourselves. The location was very extravagant, the staff was very friendly. The dinner does not include an aperitif, we paid for it separately. The dinner lasted about 4 hours, maybe a little too long. The individual courses are always a surprise, indeed unique. Yes, this restaurant is very special, but you have to know what you are getting into. We enjoyed the evening very much, but would not repeat it and give preference to other restaurants. For the price you get a lot more there.

We chose Delta for our third wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased with our choice. This place is an ode to beauty, from the decor with the trees hanging from the ceiling, the organic curves of the bar, the energetic instrumental music, and of course, its 17 course tasting menu. Each dish is a little work of art, and a pleasure for all five senses. Unfortunately, the desserts, while equally beautiful, were not on par with the savory courses in terms of flavor. Despite that, this was still one of the best meals of our lives. After this experience, we will start recommending Delta as our top choice of restaurant in Greece to friends visiting. In our opinion it deserves at least two Michelin stars and hope it gets them soon. We also liked their commitment to sustainability, local ingredients, and small producers, though that is rather common these days.

A ritualistic process rather than just (fine) dining, with equal emphasis on all aspects of the experience. As far as the food is concerned presentation is as important as taste (the dishes are in fact visually striking). There is huge emphasis on the environment, with design details and art incorporated in the scheme to the point of saturation. As for the service, it is more akin to an art performance, which adds to the uniqueness of the experience. Every dish is explained, every question answered, the chef made an appearance at the table - all in all 5 star. We opted for the 17 course omnivore menu and combined it with the drinks menu, which features 6 interesting options. This combination will set you back 205 euros per person making it one of the most expensive tasting menus in Athens. There is also a designer bar featuring an extremely informed spirits list (be warned, a stop here may easily double your bill) and 2 friendly talkative barmen. The 5 star valuation refers to the experience as a whole, which was unique indeed.

Truly a privileged experience in Athens. The Delta team are delivering Michelin star worthy greatness for half the price of similar restaurants in the rest of Europe. The food is exceptional but its the staff that elevate Delta to world class levels. Passionate, knowledgeable and warm my husband and I loved our experience and haven't stopped raving about it. We ate both Omnivore and Vegetarian meals with matched wines and loved them equally. The location and interior design are delightful and we wholeheartedly recommend Delta to anyone who appreciates artful fine dining in a beautiful setting.
