Best Honey farm in Greece

s	starsspanthesky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greece is a wonderful country with incredibly kind people, and the folks at Dias are no exception. We loved the warmth of the couple giving us a tour of their bee farm! We got to try very tasty treats from Maria's kitchen as well as her delicious lemonade. More importantly we learned about the bees they keep. If you don't know already, bees are fascinating! Don't even contemplate not taking this tour; it was one of my favorite parts of our two week trip in Greece.

I would definitely recommend doing this as it only take a few hours and it is very informative. The couple who run it speak English and were able to answer all questions and explain how the apiary worked. The bees were really docile and calm and I was not at all afraid of being stung.

All of the previous five star reviews say pretty much what we experienced today. A wonderful, relaxed and educational two and a half hours. It has to be said that Thannis and Elina make this a very special activity that will have you falling in love with bees.

We found it incredibly interesting and it was a pleasure witnessing these magnificent creatures at work. Eleni and Thanassis were very welcoming to their home and business, it is amazing to see such passionate people doing what they love and care about. After the tour around the hives we were shown how the honey is extracted and had a fresh taste... Wow it was beutiful. After we sat down and tasted all their products, we made candles out of the bees wax to take home as a souvenir. Eleni prepared some traditional foods paired or made with their organic honey. We left with knowledge, honey and large smiles on our faces. I would recommend this to anyone.

The three hours flew by; we learned loads about the bees and had a lot of fun.Thanassis and Eleni were very informative and really lovely. We went with teenage kids but little kids would love this. After donning the suits and touring the hives we got to visit the honey-making laboratory and sample the products, even some royal jelly! Then candle making and afternoon tea to finish. It was a really magical day and an absolute bargain for 3 hours. Don't follow Google maps though, it gets you lost! It would be best to get directions when booking.
