★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E' un bel museo di arte bizantina, realizzato nel 1988 dal Metropolita di Cefalonia nell'adiacente ristrutturato vecchio Katholikon e poi ampliato col suo trasferimento nell'attuale sede dal 2002. Pregevoli le iconostasi, i dipinti, i paramenti sacri, le reliquie ed i reperti provenienti da varie chiese dell'isola distrutte nel terremoto del 1953. Interessante la ricostruzione di una Sala delle Udienze con oggetti originali. Ingresso 3€, gratuito per i bambini.
It is a beautiful museum of Byzantine art, built in 1988 by the Metropolitan of Kefalonia in the adjacent renovated old Katholikon and then enlarged with its transfer to its current location since 2002. Valuable iconostasis, paintings, sacred vestments, relics and finds from various churches on the island destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. The reconstruction of an Audience Hall with original objects is interesting. Admission € 3, free for children.
