Necessary visit of both the church and the small church museum on the first floor! The church is disarmingly beautiful with the image of Panagia Faneromeni standing out .. Read its history outside the Church. There are also many sections of relics of saints. Do not neglect to visit the church museum (open between 10.30 - 13.30)! There are pictures from the end of the 17th century! Excellent experience, with 2 € ticket price offered at the parish fund.

Beautiful church and museum, with fantastic chanting during the Sunday Liturgy.

Beautiful church except the lady inside keeps shouting no pictures! So unfriendly to the tourists.

I love this church. Especially in the early morning, without crowds of daily turists from Athens.

Absolutely stunning church interior. Small but quite ornate. Exterior of the church is a pretty walkable area with a few placards to read. Worth a visit because of how easy it is to get to, but will be brief (unless you go to the ecclesiastical museum where you can spend a bit more time)

In the center of the harbor is the Cathedral of Hydra, built in 1648 and reconstructed in 1774. A three-aisled basilica with a dome and two marble bell towers, which inside has two silver chandeliers and a golden light that has on it the heads of the Louisians of France. In the past, the Church functioned as the Monastery of the Assumption. Today in the courtyard of the Church there are the busts of Lazaros Kountouriotis and Andreas Miaoulis as well as the tomb of Lazaros Kountouriotis. In some of the buildings of the monastery is housed the Town Hall, while in the old cells the Ecclesiastical and Byzantine Museum of Hydra.
