★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little peaceful place where you get to see and talk with some of the locals. No tap beer, but you can get a cold Greek beer if you want to, on your way back from the olive trees orchards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly, highly recommended. Two lovely Cretan women served us, and despite claiming that the chef wasn't about whipped up the most incredible omelette and dakos in about 60 seconds. Sat outside in the shade watching the locals of Gouves pottering about and considered bothering a cat.
