★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η ανέγερση του ιστορικού αυτού ναού χρονολογείται το 1767, την εποχή της Τουρκοκρατίας. Τα δώδεκα σκαλοπάτια που οδηγούν στην είσοδό του και οι μικρές του πόρτες φτιάχτηκαν με τέτοιο τρόπο, ώστε να μην μπορούν οι κατακτητές να τον βεβηλώσουν μπαίνοντας έφιπποι την ώρα της Λειτουργίας, όπως συνήθιζαν.
Ο ιστορικός αυτός Ναός στέγασε το 1831 την εθνοσυνέλευση των Ι. Κολέτη και Π. Νοταρά ενώ ήταν τόπος προσευχής και εθνικών ιστορικών αποφάσεων των αγωνιστών του 1821 όπως του Νικηταρά, του Παπαφλέσσα, του Οδυσσέα Ανδρούτσου και άλλων. Κατά παράδοση των παλαιοτέρων στο ιερό του Ναού οι αγωνιστές του 21 είχαν αφιερώσει πολλές εικόνες αμύθητου θρησκευτικής αξία και πανάκριβα ιερά σκεύη ενώ λέγεται ότι υπήρχε και λάβαρο στο οποίο είχαν ορκιστεί οι ήρωες του 21.
Ο Ναός των Αγίων Ταξιαρχών κατεστράφη ολοσχερώς από τον καταστρεπτικό σεισμό της 24ης Φεβρουαρίου 1981. Μετά τον σεισμό του 1981 ο Γεώργιος Λιβανός καταγόμενος από τα Καρδάμυλα της Χίου ανοικοδόμησε με δική του δαπάνη στην ίδια θέση, εκ θεμελίων, τον νέο Ιερό Ναό των Παμμεγίστων Ταξιαρχών τον οποίον καθαγίασε μαζί με το κάτωθεν παρεκκλήσιο του Αγίου Ιωάννου του Προδρόμου ο Μακαριστός Μητροπολίτης Κορίνθου κυρός Παντελεήμων την 8ην Νοεμβρίου 1985.
Η Εκκλησία στις 8 Νοεμβρίου γιορτάζει τη σύναξη των Παμμέγιστων αρχαγγέλων Μιχαήλ και Γαβριήλ, καθώς και των υπολοίπων Ασωμάτων και Ουράνιων Αγγελικών Ταγμάτων.
The erection of this historic church dates back to 1767, during the Turkish occupation. The twelve steps leading to his entrance and his small doors were made in such a way that the conquerors could not dazzle him with equestrian access at the time of service, as they used to.
This historic temple housed the National Assembly of I. Coletti and P. Traditionally in the temple sanctuary, the fighters of the 21st had dedicated many images of unbelievable religious value and numerous sacred vessels, and it is said that there was also a banner on which the heroes of the 21 were sworn.
The Church of the Holy Archangels was completely destroyed by the devastating earthquake of February 24, 1981. After the earthquake of 1981, George Lebanese, who came from the Kardamyla of Chios, rebuilt at his own expense the same church, the new Temple of I which was consecrated along with the chapel below of St. John the Baptist by the Blessed Metropolitan of Corinth, Panteleimon on November 8, 1985.
On November 8, the Church celebrates the gathering of the Almighty Archangels Michael and Gabriel, as well as the rest of the Asomites and Heavenly Angels.
