Πήρε το όνομα από τον ιδρυτή του, τον Φαΐκ πασά, από τους πρώτους διοικητές της μετά την κατάληψη της Άρτας από τους Οθωμανούς το 1449...
The Faik Pasha Mosque - known as Imaret - is part of a wider area that included (except the mosque) Imaret (restaurant) Loutra (Hammam) and more. In addition to the mosque (camii) today a section of the hammam is preserved.
