★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great beach in an area that if I had the money to eat out ever night I would have stayed in, carnt say I saw many supermarkets. The sea was quite choppy but a stunning colour. €8 for two sun beds and an parcel. There was weightier service from the restaurants and the beach was really clean. This beach is well worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect beach. Best one I have been too on crete for crystal clear water with soft sand and a slow incline which makes it perfect for kids. I went to balos and elafonissi which are both lovely. This was the quietist beach.
Beware of parking in soft sand in the parking areas as we saw 2 cars get stuck.food at the restaurant on the beach was much better than expected. Best meal I have had since coming to crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A large wide sandy beach suitable for all ages. Various offerings in the surrounding bars that deliver food and drinks to your sunshade. A short walk to the edge of the beach offers some possibilities for exploring interesting nature. Find a hidden cave in the surrounding area.

Beautiful beach with clear waters.
Windsurf spot, left beach. Flat water. Though wind was offshore and quite high (5-6 Beaufort). Not for beginners at that time.
Right side of the beach is rocky and perfect for snorkeling.
Also the offshore wind was not pleasant for sunbathing as it brought a lot of sand.
Sunbeds available: 3€ per sunbed; 7€ 2 sunbeds & 1 umbrella

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic beach! Clean sand and water, with reasonable waves. We had a blast. Sun chairs and umbrella are 8 euros for a set. I would definitely go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fab beach. Really beautiful as you approach, the view is breath taking. Bit windy when we visited so I would recommend checking the wind direction and speed before you go. Large number of umbrellas and plenty of tavernas in the area. Great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 11 yr old son had a blast learning to surf with Stavros! Stavros was an amazing instructor- he tailored the lesson to my son’s needs (and attention span on the land :) perfectly! My son ended up doing 3 hours of lessons because he loved it so much and was up riding waves from the first hour! We are so grateful for Surf Island’s hospitality, kindness, and awesome expertise, thank you! A surfer has been indeed born!!!
