★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Remains of defenses from the Balkan Wars and WW1. At the top of the hill there are trenches at the bottom of the hill walls. Most likely to ward off landings of foreign troops. The view of the city of Kavala makes the walk there particularly worthwhile.
