Loved our stay here! Beautiful clean hotel. Great for families! Matina is so amazing and makes the best freddo cappuccinos and espressos. The all day restaurant has delicious food! Breakfast was perfect! The pool and lounging area Are the cutest. Can’t wait to come back to G George when we go back to Lefkada.

We feel quite lucky to have accidentally come accross to this little gem of a small island town hotel. Very spacious accommodation, helpful personnel and all this at a very good value for money price?

Maria and her daughter Matina have a jewel of a boutique hotel here! With the charming Khalid and a team of very kind and effective housekeepers and decent cooks this place is a wonderful oasis in the heart of bustling Nidri.

We haven’t seen much of Maria, the owner, but more of her terrific crew of lovely people; Ioanna, Caroline, Matina, Khalid and George all went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible, thus way embodying the Ancient Greek principle of Xenia. Hotel George is a great place to be when you’re visiting Nidri; a small family hotel, clean, good food from chef George (for reasonable prices) a nice pool. The hotel is on the road to the Nidri Waterfalls, so it’s a 3,5km walk to those. Since we were there in August, there wasn’t much water to fall (but still some), so they weren’t all too impressive. Many people go there by the way, so it will be quite busy on the small paths for the last few hundred meters. Do have drink at the taverna Platanos, it has the most relaxed vibe ever (and great fresh fruit smoothies!). Nidri is supposedly the most touristic place on the island with the typical touristy things…a Main Street filled with restaurants, bars and souvenir shops (and the odd traditional Greek-stuff-shop), a ‘boulevard’ filled with restaurants and pushy boat-cruise sellers. Don’t be surprised if you -at El Greco for instance- get a bottle of water and bread on the table only to find it on the bill later, even if you haven’t touched it… the food isn’t a reason to go back there, nor is this old trick. The ice-cream people at Chocolate could be considered pushy as well, however they do it in such a friendly and hospitable way that you wouldn’t mind…do try the Kaimata ice cream, a traditional Greek taste perhaps, but you won’t be disappointed! All in all Nidri isn’t the most cultural place to go, nor is Lefkas the most culture-laden Greek island; you could go to Nidri for instance to do absolutely nothing under the Greek sun, to take boat trips (alas only full day cruises available, some one should offer 2-hour cruises) or to do things like para gliding and this ‘sitting on a large tube behind a speedboat’-kind of thing. Obviously you can rent cars, scooters, bikes, boats at a gazillion places.

This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful garden and pool close to the centre of town. Our room was clean and well maintained. Cooked breakfast was delicious! We had to delay our visit because of lockdown and the staff were really helpful- emails were all answered very quickly. Exceptionally good service with very friendly staff.

Great location (quiet, but only 150m away from the Nidri buzz and the most popular beach clubs); pro-active, professional and very friendly team; comfortable, clean and well maintained facilities and rooms; large garden with pool, bar and sufficient beds; large choice of well prepared food. Summarizing: a true gem. A shout out to Maria, Martina, Caroline, Joanne and all others that take care of us so well here.

The perfect place to stay when in Nydri. Firstly, its close to the center(2-3 minutes walk), secondly it has the best pool with freshening garden, thirdly the place is CLEAN ! SPOTLESS.The rooms are being cleaned everyday. it also has a private parking. And we loved the breakfast too. LOVELY staff. 5/5 indeed ??
