Hands down the best windsurfing experience I've had. Cristos, Maria,Andreas, Spock and all the crew are amazing making sure you have the best time on the water and a lot of fun off it. Pure good vibes all the time, no egos. The equipment is top notch, safety is excellent and the spot was totally epic when we were there. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you get the most out of your time, lots of hints and tips on technique and equipment. You are all really the loveliest, funniest people! This is how windsurfing and a centre should be done.Definitely going back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Beautiful spot, away from the mass tourism, with a great team, top quality equipment, very good instructors and an amazing overall experience. Will definitely be back here next time on Crete!

It was the best windsurfing spot where I have ever been. Great place - it was always windy, but waves are not big, so it was very comfortable for beginners like me and my wife. The best rent equipment - new, light, handy. The best care from owners - you are always under supervision, but it does not distract you. If you have some trouble - the boat is on it's way. I didn't take the instructor, but always had a helpful advices. You may spend good time between riding on there beach and enjoy calm, noiseless and beautiful place. Very thanks Maria, Christos and their team for ours impressions! If we ever come to Crete we will certainly come back to YOU!!!

One of the best spots for windsurfing. * TEAM/BUSINESS Super friendly people, eager to help. I was impressed by the quality of their advices even though I didn't take any lessons by them. Just by observing me they could suggest equipment or give small hints. It's not only about friendliness tough. They are absolutely professionals as they perfectly manage all the people in the water. They always keep an eye on the sea and they jump in to help whoever is in trouble, before things get worse. * WIND Although "apnea" is a Greek word, nobody knows what it means in Kouremenos. The wind is always there (just check the stats), usually at speeds of 20 knots or even more. Keep in mind that the place is quite gusty, in a 20-knots-day you'll get more than 30 knots in many parts of the sea. * WATER Crystal clean waters, as in most Greek beaches. The water is a bit choppy, but it never gets wavy. * BEACH While entering the water there are many small, smooth, rocks. This creates a hard time when trying to beach-start as the leg touching the rocks may feel uncomfortable. * LEVELS From my perspective windsurfers of all levels can enjoy their time there. Are you an expert? Just go a bit further and enjoy the strong gusts. A bit to the left you get more flat waters, a bit to the center and you get some choppy ones. Beginner? Stay close to the shore and enjoy the stable winds. Intermediate? It's your choice if you want to be brave and play with the gusts or practice in stable winds. * EQUIPMENT Windsurfing boards of all types, foiling, wings and SUPs. All in perfect condition, especially the sails are all renewed before the beginning of each season. * LOCATION Kouremenos is located in Palekastro (small village) which in turn is near Sitia (main city). The eastern side of Crete is not thay noisy and touristic, but as Crete is a very beautiful island you will most likely enjoy many more things besides surfing.

First time in Crete and went to Kouremenos for the wind. Beside the beautiful beach there we found these guys, and we're lucky we did! Whether you are renting excellent equipment, doing lessons or just chilling with them on the beach, it's the perfect windsurf spot! Thank you guys for a great week, we'll be coming back!

Christos and Maria lead the Gone Surfing center in such a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere that I basically already decided coming back next year. The equipment is simply perfect: you have all board and sail sizes you need from from beginner to storm level in top quality. Security is not only an announcement, the owner's eyes are constantly scanning the water and rescue boats are prepared and actually used. Prices are fair, the team is helping with the equipment and provides hints and recommendations and the station becomes a social meeting point - what more can you expect? You can rent or have courses for foils or wing foil or simply windsurfing. Wind conditions throughout the year are outstanding and a main advantage of the location is that there is not too much wave (most of the time when the wind comes from NNW). It was my 2. time there and I just returned from a marvelous vacation (10 days in 06.2022) and can't wait to return! Thanks a lot to Christos and Maria!
