★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöne Wanderung, 45 Minuten von Kato Zakros zur Höhle, im Herbst gesäumt von Meerzwiebelblüten. Die Höhle an sich ist steil abfallend, rutschig und es sind keine Sicherungen installiert. Aber im oberen Bereich finden sich verspielte Kalkformationen.
Nice hike, 45 minutes from Kato Zakros to the cave, lined with squill flowers in autumn. The cave itself is steeply sloping, slippery and there are no safeguards installed. But in the upper area there are playful limestone formations.

As quite long (~3km) and complicated path going through off-road, stones and rock climbing. Would be extremally hard without before training, special clothes and accessories.
The cave itself is nice but only if you prefer such places. As it is completely abandonned, cryptic and scary. I have no idea who and when visited it last time but it looks like was a long time ago.
I would recommend to go and enter inside the cave only with experienced team or speleologists. Otherwise, no chance to get back.
