h	hazal sema altunhan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you came Heraklion to swim in peace. This is the right place. It is quite and not so touristy. Around of this taverna, there are many hotels with cost line. However there sea is more wavy. Here was perfect. Little beach with crystal clear water. You can even see little fishes. You can rent sun beds and umbrella from the taverna next to it. We rented two chairs and one umbrella for 9 euro all day long. You can also pay with card. For the beach and this good taverna, I would especially rate the experience. There were not many people and most of them leaves after 2 pm. So it was very quite comparing to famous beaches around of Heraklion. So water stays also more clear. Plus: no one is coming to ask if you order sth. You can also buy drinks from the market there. Workers in taverna were also so friendly. They are always there. So you can leave your bag without a problem. In crowded beaches, it would be really a problem. Taverna offers also good and delicious fish dishes.

It's as rustic as they come but the food is amazing and the staff, as busy as they are still find the time to fuss over you, but don't go expecting quick service and fine dining. What can you say about the beach... It's quiet, no more than 40 people. Crystal clear waters fall up a 50m bay of a small pebbled/shale beach. Pure Cretan magic
A	Alex Frei on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A HIDDEN GEM!!! For everyone who loves authentic, traditional food. We discovered this place by chance as we were passing by whilst looking for a beach. We walked through the sketchy "secret passege" entrance (see picture #3) and ended up in this very rustic seaside mini restaurant with the most amazing view. The food is absolutely wonderful, real Greek and not the usual tourism oity toity (Same for the prices! 35€ for food beers and coffee for the both of us). On top of all that, this place comes with a lovely small and quite beach (max 20-25p.). Beautiful tiny turquoise lagoon with stunning view of the entire Hersonisos/Malia Bay. Just wonderful❤
A	Ana Vivdici on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bar is fine and the drinks are ok. The beach is lovely and the daily rent for a set of sunbeds and umbrella is 9 euros. The staff is very nice and polite. We visited them in August 2019 and August 2021. We liked it more.

You definitely have to try the octopus and calamari. If the weather is good just do a reservation outside and chill on a sunbed at this amazing place.

Beautiful and fresh FRESH sea food, flavoursome, same goes for their salad. This place is a must in Hersonissos... super cosy, homy. The staff couldn't be more friendly. Is a proper Greek restaurant and I believe it's a family business, locals. Its entrance is hidden so don't miss it. Prices a great considering the quality, freshness and portions. Highly recommended, is a must....
