Ya Seafood restaurant - Αγίου Γεωργίου 3

After you leave the sprawling Hersonisos behind and head up the coast the restaurants thin out so if, like us, you've skipped breakfast and crave a delicious lunch you could do a lot worse than Ya seafood. Especially good if you like cats.

Amazing restaurant right on the beach! The fish and mussels were amazing and the staff are incredibly polite and nice too :) it made for a good atmosphere. The prices and quality of food is great. They even gave us some free ice cream at the end which is just what we needed to top off our great experience! If you’re walking by I would highly recommend you stop for a bite to eat.

We found this one by accodent. A very, very nice place to eat! They showed us the latest catched fish and asked us to choose which we would like. Outsatanding! The food was great! Simply served but an awesome taste! The beer an ouzo was good. Service is really geeat with a beautigul view. Especially at sunset. Extra: the Octopuses are hung within the resaurant to dry ;)

We found this restaurant when we were walking around after a long swimming. We liked the vibe and atmosphere of the place so we wanted to check it out. It is on seaside. We had a great sea view. People were very friendly and service was also fast enough. The foods are also looking simple but they were really tasty. They catch fresh fish as I understand. Because if you order fish menu they ask you the one that they have from today. We also saw octopuses were hung to dry, which was very unique and shows that everything is freshly made. We ordered risotto with shrimps and mussels, burger plate and eggplant salad. We thought that eggplant salad will be fried but it was like dip sauce. I must say that it was the best thing we ate in Crete. It was so tasty and light. We also ordered their homemade bread. It was pretty big. With eggplant dip, they were perfect couple :) Unfortunately burger plate was just with burger meat and fries. There were no buns but it wasn’t a big problem. Meat was also juicy and without breadcrumbs. Risotto was so much better in my opinion. It was really full of little size scrimps and mussels. Prices were really good for this portions also. We paid total 27 euro for everything. I leave also prices below. Burger plate: 9,5 euro Risotto with sea food: 10,5 euro Eggplant salad: 3,5 euro Bread: 1 euro Water: 1 euro Greek coffee: 2 euro

Tasty food however the facilities are not very well taken care of, seems a bit abandoned. Nice toilet for children. Shrimp stifado was amazing. Fish and calamari very good bit nothing special. Great view!
