★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the beautiful old churches in Crete. The church was closed and there was a shepherd there with many many goats we couldn’t go inside. Pitty for such a historical place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another of those tiny cave churches, this one is indeed very small: if you had four people in there two would gave to crouch, and the priest would have to kneel through the service. Nothing very much to see but, unusually, there's a bell tower constructed on the rocks immediately above the church, and it is this which catches the eyer and encourages you to deviate off the main road. If you want to see the church, follow the track until you reach goat pens, pass through these and the church is just beyond the last pen. The goats are friendly (if shy) and will want to follow toy in.
