★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place. ..Oasis indeed. ..Worth a visit. ...you will be amazed by the waterfalls and the nature around. ..don't forget to check out the food there. .try lamp made by the fire. ..a cooking technic used by Cretans shepherds over a century ago. ..have a nice time. ..Also don't forget to visit the church in the nearby cave and the waters running below. ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an OK place, but mostly a tourist trap. The whole place is built around the springs, but there's nothing much to see except restaurants for Russian tourists. However, if you walk up the path to ancient Lappa, you'll find a nicer place with more traditional restaurants and signs less offensive to the eye. I should say however that, for lack of time, I ended up having some lamb from one of the main touristic restaurants and found it really good. Not great if you want something more natural and less touristic. But if that's your thing, give it a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited juts before Christmas, so we had the place to ourselves. Lots of small waterfalls, it was quite nice but I can image it’s a just a tourist trap with fish restaurants during the summer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely area in the mountains of Crete. Get a train tour up there for €15. Beautiful scenery and fantastic photo ops. Definitely recommend.
