★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If in Plaka, you need to eat in this “home” place. The place is nice and warm and the food is just... comfort food. No worries about calories or anything else, just enjoy the food, the place and the people. The fried cheese, just melts in your mouth. Greek hospitality, awesome!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A real good taverna in Plaka, the host Fotini is, if I remember right, born in Australia and returned with her parents to Crete as a child. She runs the taverna with her husband and will tell you the daily menu when she comes greeting you at your table. In summer you must definitely make a reservation, its always full of mostly british expats and some Greeks. The food is excellent, the wine as well. Strongly recommended when you stay in the Apokoronas region.

So delicious food, fairly priced and the most welcoming family you could think of. Fruits, Raki and dessert on the house. This family knows how to make you feel good in Plaka, Crete.
We would love to come back.

It feels like it just can’t get any better and as you can see from the pictures we visited 3 nights in a raw and were never disappointed.
First and foremost the flavours are super delicious and traditional. All dishes are freshly prepared with local ingredients. The food taste very homey and made with love. The owners are very friendly and happily help you with what dishes to try.
I can’t explain how this made us feel, if you are reading this review, it is your sign to visit and try. Thank me later and enjoy!
