★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic family run restaurant. has a large variety of traditional food and some English options if required. drinks menu along with cocktails was also extensive. all of the food that we ordered was very nice. if you dont like cats however this might not be the place for you, as we had cats regularly around our feet during the meal (like cats so not a problem for us) also got free cocktails from the owners daughter. if we returned to this area of Crete, we would definitely return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here for dinner on our first night in Crete and had a lovely meal. Delicious food, reasonable prices, lovely local wine, fresh seafood, good portions and very friendly staff. They even gave us a free carafe of wine, free pistachio ice cream and free raki with our bill! So generous - we will definitely be back before our holiday is up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Takis is a wonderful place, great food, very nice, charming staff and service, perfect Cretan village setting. Oh, and Sangria! And our friends the cats. We have had lunch here every day for a week (our second stay at Stefan and Rula's St George's Retreat Village in Kokkino Chorio).
