M	Marina Romero on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This ancient building deserves a visit when in Athens. It’s part of the Roman agora complex. We got a ticket for 30 euros that granted us access to many important archeological sites in Athens, including this one. Definitely worth it

By the 19th century, the courtyard with marble columns of the new Agora became a majestic commercial and administrative center. Its largest and best-preserved attraction, which was recently reconstructed, is the Tower of the Winds. The Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrhestes is an octagonal Pentelic marble clock tower that functioned as a horologion or "timepiece". It is considered the world's first meteorological station. The structure features a combination of sundials, a water clock, and a wind vane. It was supposedly built by Andronicus of Cyrrhus around 50 BC, but according to other sources, might have been constructed in the 2nd century BC before the rest of the forum.
A	Ahad on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful monument from outside. Not much going on inside. Entry to this place is via the Roman Forum of Athens. Tickets are €4 in winter and €8 in summer. Its a good deal in the winter. Good place for visiting to get a glimpse of ancient ruins and lifestyle. It will be a short visit because there isnt much up for viewing.

Do some research first to appreciate the history of the area; I.e. Where did the word agoraphobia come from?
P	Peter Orfankos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Tower of the Winds (or Aerides), is a well preserved monument. It’s considered to be the first meteorological station. You can walk all around the monument from the outside and see it very well. If you get a combined ticket for all sites; definitely don’t miss it. Otherwise you can see the tower well from the outside.
H	Heather Raposa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Short site to walk around, however the historical significance is rivaled by few other sites, i.e. the Parthenon .. possibly the oldest and 1st meteorological observation area in Greece. Though only the tower stands it is still impressive and makes you ponder HOW did they keep track what did they use or invent that was lost so many centuries ago!
