Hotel Stellina - Skiathos Town

I’ll keep this short as possible. We stayed here as a transit night to get to Skopelos (the better of the two islands) First night was a “garden view” room. Beds were filthy, pillows had mascara and muck on them. The couch had massive stains. You have to make your own bed, the aircon didn’t work, place stunk like smoke and mould. We complained and wanted to cancel our second night back through being told the manager would contact us. He never did. Though, we did receive an upgrade to the pool view room to which we were very thankful.. Then more problems. Aircon didn’t work but the kind receptionist grabbed a new remote. Then we had no toilet paper (I think this is standard practice as we saw the same nice receptionist take one roll to another room with its occupant). The pool view room also stunk of mould and a very thick smell of weed was present in the hallway (not family friendly). When you shower it sprays everything as there is no curtain only a small edge around the bottom which as you can see is useless (see pictures of water leaking everywhere and under the door). Then finally, the icing on the cake. We were told our breakfast was 8-11 so as any young couple do we wondered down at 10:20 to grab breakfast and noticed that it was all packed up. A female worker named Maria then walked up to my partners face and in a rude condescending yell said 8 till 10, and then laughed... I’m usually easy going, but rudeness is unacceptable! We asked her name and went to see the manager. In very few words he slammed the doors open and told us “sit” as if we were about to be interrogated. The kind receptionist translated for us to which the manager then apologised for everything concerning us and on behalf of Maria. We have stayed in some pretty bad places around the world, but this has to be the worst! DO NOT STAY! Walk 10 -15 minutes from the airport into town and there are much nice and happier hotels to stay at. Positives - The receptionist guys were very helpful and nice. Close to the airport. Late checkout. Oh and as I wrote this, the cleaner barged in without knocking.

Its okay. Hot water is always available and the pool is nice and clean. Also the kitchen offers great meals at a very good price. However, sheets and towels were not changed at all (we stayed there for five days) and toilet paper wasn't regularly sent but we had to go and ask for it. Finally, the room we stayed in wasn't as clean as it could be.

We have been here before about 5 years ago also way before that. It hasn't changed. Very clean, very friendly staff, typical Greek breakfast, just eat as much as you want. Just a perfect place to stay and relax. We will definitely be staying here again.

Right outside Skiathos town and within walking distance to the centre, it is a great value for the deal it offers. That includes nice clean rooms, a spacious swimming pool area and breakfast. Not bad at all. Easily recommended.

For the future I will never accommodate at this place. The owner of the hotel is surly. Avoid this hotel. No, this is not a hotel, it's a hostel.

This is an awful place! Dirty and moisty rooms, very bad breakfast, amazingly arrogant owner and staff!

This hotel is a joke. They serve for breakfast bread and boiled eggs only...and they count the eggs which you take..it can not be more than one.. ridiculous place!!!

As we were delayed by 24 hours, this was only used for one night but as we had been in a 4star hotel I'm afraid this supposedly 2 star didn't really cut it. In fact it was dreadful.
