Stayed in this resort last year and this ace was the reason we came back to the island (although we stayed in different apartments due to the Zafira being fully booked) Very friendly and welcoming staff made our stay absolute bliss ❤??

Brilliant holiday late May 2019 ! Located right next to a relaxing quiet beach, Hotel Zafira is very friendly, clean place to stay with lovely staff .The food was very good ,drinks reasonably priced with plenty of choice ! There are plenty of sunbeds and shade from parasols and trees . Cannot wait to return !

Stayed for a week here last week. The weather wasnt great for the first 3 days, but was beautiful for the rest of the week. This was our first time at hotel zafira.. It wasnt the best. There were limited sunbeds around the pool, people putting towels out at 7am in a morning!.. during meal time there was ants ALL OVER where the breakfast and salad bar was.. flies constantly flying around in the restraunt (Needed a fly UV light).. We were Half board, the meals was OK you didnt really have much choice, 4 dishes and if you didnt like anything on the menu you wasnt eating.. Salad served every day as a starter, breakfast never changed it was the same every day, it got boring! And at dinner time you was eating your salad, next thing your dinner has arrived! It felt like because the restraunt was on such small scale they were trying to push you out quickly so they could seat others.. also found it extreemly clicky!! If you wasnt spending money behind the bar, the owner wasnt bothered you was there.. if your not a regular you feel like your being watched constantly like your not welcome. The bar prices was absolutely ridiculous! €3 for a coke (warm) served out of a bottle, when you could go the local shop and buy a large bottle for €1.80. Because the bar was so expensive and we didnt bring enough euros, i took my own glass of coke into the restraunt, but then was told that i wasnt allowed to do this because then everybody else would do it!? It was in the same glass as everyone who had bought from the bar, they would have never of known.. the only good thing i found was the room was lovely! All in all we Found it a very greedy organisation. Location there is nothing there, would i go again? No.. would i recommend? Yes if your in the owners little "Click" & are retired.

We stayed here june 17-24 2018. The place is just lovely, its in a quiet location just 15 min drive from the main town of Limenos (Thassos), with its own pool and bar area, and dedicated sun beds on the beach. The rooms are well designed and clean, with views either of the pool and bar area, or the olive trees to the rear. The staff are so friendly, Dimitris- the hotel manager couldn't do any more for the guests (we were in a large wedding party) and was happy to keep the bar open until the last person decided to call it a day, and the two barmen- both called Giannis worked extremely well under pressure, smiling throughout the long working days. The location is but a short walk to 5-10 tavernas, along the beach, and there is a mini market with supplies a 5 minute walk away. The beach was fairly quiet- there is always space if you do not want to be on a sunbed next to someone else, or take a towel and you will find a deserted spot on the beach for yourself. The bus service is quite unreliable- taxis to Limenos (Thassos) town are around 18 euros each way, or you can hire a car for as little as 22 euros a day to explore the island. We wanted to do the 'jeep safari' excursion, that was booked up through TUI and the local company that advertises at the hotel, a quick request to the barman and he managed to get us a space with another company that he knew- this was amazing- well worth the trip!! Sunset views on the beach are to die for, setting behind the mountains on the mainland, and these are certainly not to be missed. The sea is crystal clear, and you can wade out and swim comfortable as it is shallow for a good distance with clear views of the sand under foot. If you are English and want a taste of home, i would certainly recommend the fish and chips on the evening menu, the batter is wonderful, a house special. We can't wait to return next year!!

Just got back from Hotel Zafira... We had a fantastic week. The rooms are lovely and we'll equipped. You are on top of a sandy beach that stretches left and right into the distance. The hotel has sunbeds on the beach, believe it or not they are free to use. If you prefer a pool you will not be disappointed, it's clean, it's safe and your children will love it. Food is a treat. Evening meals are as good if not better than the local restaurants. Never ever tasted moussaka as good anywhere. As for the staff they were friendly and helpful, especially Helen who gave is great directions for our visit to Thasoss Town all drawn out on napkin. If you fancy a trip to Thasoss Town it takes 20 mins on the bus and costs €1.80 each way. IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO HOLIDAY.

I gave it a 5 because of the family that own and run it and the staff that look after you. Unless you are stand -offish,you are made to feel like old friends. The studios are big with a balcony that looks over the garden or pool with a side view of the sea.The 'kitchen' is behind a screen with a couple of cooking rings, sink and fridge. The bathroom has a walk in shower and is clean and functional. We stayed half board and had a choice of 4 things for dinner or an option for lunch, but very tasty.Breakfast was a choice of fruit, continental and a fry up with Helen as your hostess with the monsters and a font of local knowledge. The pool was big enough for a swim, but didn't open until 11 because it has a small staff who work until late in the evening, but that just means you can all go on the beach until it is open and chat with the other guests and get to know them. The sunbeds are free .Don't forget your rock shoes when you go in the sea. This is in a small resort, but not far from the port and capital for a day /night out.Ask at reception/rep if you want to hire a car. There is a couple of small supermarkets nearby and a few bars and taverns. This is a family run business with nieces and nephews swimming and playing in the pool ,nan and grandad having a coffee on the patio at 6 and goats etc on the freehold opposite. Most nights there is entertainment in some forms ie live band, disco, bingo and quiz. A great host, simple accommodation but very clean, good food and great setting. We don't often go back to places ,but I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Hotel staff were nowhere to be seen a lot of the time. Mosquitos were murder in the room at night. Son got stung by jelly fish on their beach. Was a good deal for the price but I would stay there again.
