Όπως λέγεται εκείνα τα χρόνια επικοινωνούσε με το Ναό Γεννήσεως Θεοτόκου (Παναγίας Τρύπας, ο οποίος αργότερα παραχωρήθηκε από την ενορία στην Ι. Μητρόπολη) του Βόλου διά μυστικών στοών. Υπάρχουν δύο πηγάδια εντός του Ναού τα οποία κατά την ημέρα και μόνο της Πανηγύρεως αναβλύζουν αγίασμα. Στην πανήγυρι, η οποία τελείται την Παρασκευή της Διακαινησίμου (δηλ. μετά το Πάσχα), ανεβαίνει πλήθος πιστών είτε με τα πόδια , είτε με άλλα μέσα για προσκύνησι της Θαυματουργού Εικόνος η οποία μεταφέρεται με τα πόδια λιτανευομένη από την κεντρική μας Εκκλησία μέχρι το λόφο και αντίστροφα. Η μεγάλη πανήγυρις του Ι. Ναού ξυπνά τις εφιαλτικές εικόνες των καταστροφικών σεισμών του Βόλου. Large stone temple which was built during the Turkish occupation.
