Κ	Κλεοπάτρα Οικονομίδου - Μητσιμπόνα on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στο κέντρο της Τσαριτσάνης, σε περίοπτη θέση δίπλα στην Οικονόμειο Σχολή, δεσπόζει ο μεγαλύτερος και νεότερος ναός της κωμόπολης, που είναι αφιερωμένος στην Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου και λειτουργεί ως μητροπολιτικός. Από επιγραφή που διατηρείται στον τοίχο του, οικοδομήθηκε το 1749. Καταστράφηκε από φωτιά τον Οκτώβριο του 1818 και η στέγη του ανακατασκευάσθηκε δύο χρόνια αργότερα επάνω στην ίδια τοιχοποιία. Το 1986 καταστράφηκε πάλι από φωτιά και ανοικοδομήθηκε επάνω στα θεμέλια του παλαιού ναού, με προσπάθεια αποκατάστασης της αρχικής του μορφής. Στη νότια πλευρά του υπάρχει παρεκκλήσι του Αγίου Ιωαννίκιου. Είχε σημαντικά έργα ξυλογλυπτικής τέχνης, που καταστράφηκαν στην πυρκαγιά του 1986. Αξιόλογα ήταν το περίτεχνο τέμπλο του 1753, με ποικίλα διακοσμητικά θέματα και σκηνές, ο άμβωνας, που ήταν σχηματισμένος σαν αρχάγγελος με τη μορφή Ρωμαίου πολεμιστή, και ο δεσποτικός θρόνος με τους λέοντες στη βάση του.
