Die Stadt Athen gewährt ihm ein 50-jähriges Vorrecht. 1938 geht die Gaswerkverwaltung an die Stadt Athen über. 1952 wurde die Athens Municipal Gasworks Operation gegründet und lieferten bis 1984 Gas an die Stadt. Athen.
1999 fanden die ersten kulturellen Veranstaltungen in den Räumen der alten Fabrik statt. Die Stadt Technopolis von Athen wurde Teil des historischen Verlaufs der Anlage.
Im Jahr 2013 wurde dann das Gas Museum eröffnet.

 In 1857 Francois Theophile Feraldi took on the task of supplying Athens with gas. The city of Athens grants him a 50-year privilege. In 1938 the management of the gas works passed to the city of Athens. The Athens Municipal Gasworks Operation was established in 1952 and supplied gas to the city until 1984. Athens.
In 1999 the first cultural events took place in the rooms of the old factory. The city of Technopolis of Athens became part of the historical course of the complex.
The Gas Museum was opened in 2013.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very interesting place that belongs to the modern history of Athens. They offer quite often guided tours (admission fee is 1 euro per person). You will learn many things about factory and the production of the gas. During the tour you will visit many buildings and one of them has an observation deck. The majority of the machines are in very good condition. Check the schedule of the guided tours on their website. Highly recommended.
