β β β β β 01/06/22 - tour to Elafonisi. The tour guide, Dimitri, is the best we have encountered in our many years of travel. The bus driver was also excellent, very friendly and patient. The local information Dimitri provides is outstanding. Elafonisi is a place of natural, exceptional beauty. Enhanced by a stop at the mountain village of Elos, with wonderful local food. The tour with "io" was outstanding and if we could award 10 stars, we would! Thank you Dimitri and Driver (apology, could not remember your name) again, we had a wonderful day. Jen & Don

β β β β β My husband and baby daughter joined the Elafonisi day trip and it was a beautiful experience. Demitri was an excellent guide, who cared a lot about all of us. He provided useful information about Crete in a funny enjoyeble way. We stopped in a local village, where we had the best and only traditional food of our holiday so far. Thanks a lot "Io Tours" for the amazing day!

β β β β β I booked to Elafonisi, from my hotel and they pick us very close to the hotel. Very professional, the driver Manole was outstanding, half of the road was with many dangerous curves. We stayed 4 hours at the beach, enough given the hot day we have. The water is very nice, clear but was windy.

β β β β β We took the tour to Elafonissi and was not disappointed.
As said in previous reviews, Dimitri is a fantastic, knowledgeable, funny local tour guide with a wealth of interesting knowledge and facts on Crete as a whole, as well as the local area. He had so many recommendations for further things to do so make sure you book this tour early in your trip so you have time to do the rest.
The driver Giourgo was fantastic too, getting us safely along narrow canyon and village roads.
The beach itself was very busy, but we followed Dimitris advice to explore more and walk further and found a nice pretty secluded spot for a cool off.
Be wary that there is little shade protection on the beach/island so prepare accordingly.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are on offer on the main part of the beach for 15 euros.
Overall the tour was good value for money and a good day out.

Very well organised and safe drive. Dimitri is a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. He shared facts and information which you don't find in any book. Loved it.

β β β β β Had an incredible trip this weekend traveling to Elafonissi through the guidance of our wonderful tour lead, Dmitry! I was absolutely blown away with the beauty of the mountains leading up to the sea and the incredible cultural and agricultural lesson Dimitry provided. 10/10 experience - it would be a shame to come to Chania and not experience this tour. Shnorhakalutyun Dmitry! -

β β β β β Had the best time with these guys while in Crete! They took me to Samaria Gorge as well as Elafonisi beach! They were so nice and helpful. Dimitri specifically was so handy and had lots of information. They even stopped the coach for me so I could find an ATM! highly recommend.

β β β β β This was the best tour my wife and I went on in Greece! We stayed in Chania and wanted to visit Elafonissi beach. We were so happy to have had Dimitri giving our tour; a funny, knowledgeable guide who is very wise! I have traveled all around Europe and he is by far the most interesting person you will find, a local who knows history, logic and can craft a tour the way it should be given.
