★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A meal with a view. Big portions, so I recommend sharing. I took the local salad which was really big and bream. Both were very good except for the side - potatoes and carrots which were way too salty, I couldn't eat it. I told it to the waiter and they took it to their attention. What I really loved was the sauce they bring additionally to the seafood/fish dishes - a mix of good olive oil and lemon juice. It elevated the dish a lot! So good. The complimentary desserts were also very generous - fruit, ice cream and a cake.
The best part is the friendly and nice service. If I could give 5 stars to Nikos, the waiter that took care of me, I would :) Great job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just amazing. The best dinner we had during 7 days in Crete. For starters, I suggest Aubergine Saganaki, stuffed wine leaf rolls and salmon spring rolls. Medium tuna steak was exquisite. Friendly and generous service, we got a lot of extra desserts and some raki, of course. Prices are more than reasonable.

Everything was on point, the waiters were extremely warm-hearted and even though they had a lot of stress, they took the time to take a picture of us.
At the Weekend around 9pm it gets a lot more crowded and since there is no possibility to make a reservation, coming early is highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband, son and I all stopped by Ippokampos back in March. We had gone to a museum and were looking for a bite to eat afterwards. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Ippokampos literally has the best food I have ever tried in my entire life, it’s that good!! Everything we had was absolutely the freshest and the flavors are exquisite! The sea bass was one of our favorites along will the orange dessert we had. They also gave us bread with an array of dipping sauces that were sooo good! Their hospitality was amazing and although we spoke no Greek, the entire staff made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. Definitely make sure to stop by if you’re in Heraklion!
