Make a reservation to get a seat outside so you can see the sunset.
The food is AMAZING!!! You really can't go wrong with anything you order and the serving staff was helpful and nice.
We will probably have every dinner here while we are on Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was okay. But they didnt give us any water and bread, nor did they ask us if we want some. The server forgot about one dish even though we ordered it twice. We waited for a long time for the dishes and the bill. The table next to us sat down later than us but got their bills and food before us. The view is nice though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first evening in Heraklion after a few years and came here by Tripadvisor reviews - and it was the best decision! Hard to decide which one I should praise more, the food or their service, because both were exceptional. I can’t imagine anyone can beat them in the fish game, everything is just done in the right way - fresh, perfectly cooked and well balanced seasoning. Thank you guys for the experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic meal! We came here for dinner, had a Cretan Salad, grilled sardine and Scampi rice pasta, all were beautifully tasteful and generously portioned.
The staff were attentive and really lived up to the Cretan hospitality. If you’re in Heraklion, I would definitely recommend booking for dinner outdoors and enjoy the sunset views. You’ll not regret it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kastella is an excellent restaurant to eat fresh fish. The friendly waiter told us which fishes they just got from the fishermen at the morning. So I ordered one of their fresh gilt-head breams, which was sooooo tasty that it almost blew my socks off. Even the skin of the fish was extremely delicious. Very highly recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful kitchen. All we have tried was very very delicious. My favourites - fried octopus, fried calamari, shrimps saganaki and sardina fish over bread...so so delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! Excellent food. Worth the stop. Tomato salad! Grilled oyster mushrooms and stuffed calamari!! All excellent. Fresh seafood and very well cooked. Only thing missing is a bit of music to create some vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my God!!! The best seafood in years! So fresh and so so absolutely great done! Not overcooked, no one single dish would get any of suggestion what could be improved. Juice and tender grilled calamari, local snails, zucchini “chips”, prawns and sea bream. Every dish was perfects
