★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view is great and staff friendly and helpful. But not a 4 star hotel. Breakfast not that varied and no bar at the pool. They should also invest in a better coffee machine. The view though was good enough to make up for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great hotel! Amazing location and very clean rooms. The staff at the front (Christos and Gianni) were great! They helped us get a cab to the port, helped get us ATVs for our stay, and recommended the best spots for beaches and restaurants. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience in Santorini was perfect! Would definitely stay here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked this hotel for September 2020. Greece was closed and the hotel issued a voucher to be used within 18 months. We rebooked the hotel for September 2021. When we arrived the management refused to honour the voucher and charged our card again.
DISHONEST MANAGEMENT!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have stayed at a few places in Santorini and this was by far the nicest in so many ways. The hotel has several indoor and outdoor lounge areas where you can enjoy the stunning views and take your own drinks. There are no hotels above or below so there's uninterrupted views of the ocean and no one looking down - or noise from nearby. The rooms are beautiful and have comfortable beds, and the staff were simply wonderful. Oh and the buffet breakfast was delicious and very generous - you could take your meal and sit on a veranda or in your room or in the cozy restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone is aware of the beautiful views of blue waters, the caldera and the sunsets in Santorini. We made a three day /night trip and this place certainly does not disappoint!
We stayed at the Ira hotel in Firostefani just next to Fira. The place is spotless with multiple places to sit and enjoy the view. It was perfect as you stay away from the crowds of Fira yet a nice walk along the various hotels and restaurants and the endless views on your way to Fira.
Our stay at the Ira hotel was just what we needed. A private relaxing time with as much pampering as you need, but never over the top. We had a nice room with a balcony overlooking the entire bay and the town. Better still, it gave us an unobstructed full view of the sunsets and the town.
The stay included a full breakfast each morning and was a perfect spread from Greek yogurt, fresh fruit like strawberries and kiwi, honey and homemade jam to toast and cereal (and all the other things a hot breakfast come with like bacon eggs, and sautéed mushrooms and veggies etc)
However, the Ira Hotel is a special place with clean rooms, and a nice spa and ample public lounge space with views for miles. Most importantly the service here is what makes this boutique hotel and spa stand out. From the Hotel Manager Konstantina, to the bell boy and the restaurant staff, they were always looking to ensure we were well taken care of and having a good time.
Konstantina took the time on our arrival to welcome us with recommendations on what to do, and arranged for a car for us and gave us the most important must do sites on the island and beyond with tours. It went a long way to making our stay on Santorini a relaxing and memorable one.
Thank you to Konstantina and all her staff that make this hotel a special one even on an already special island. The owners should be very proud of their staff that definitely make this place a "must stay at"!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location- 5/5
This hotel got the perfect location in Firostefani. The market is near. Plus it's scenic from everywhere.
Food- 5/5
They have got an amazing and very tasty breakfast. I still remember the taste of croissants, cheese pie, marmalade, toastie and it was sooo mouthwatering!
Staff- 5/5
Staff of the hotel from restaurant, housekeeping was just so polite and helpful. Especially the receptionist Dina(I call her by that name). She was the most soft-spoken and helpful staff I met out of all the places I visited in the world till date. She helped us with the places to visit, souvenirs to buy, selection of wines, getting the luggage. She was always there whenever we needed anything. This hotel offers you the best hospitality. Kuddos to you guys??
Clean- 5/5
Cleanliness can be seen as soon as you enter the hotel and in the outside areas as well. Very well maintained.
Apart from all these, the hotel is really photogenic. You will feel like taking pictures at all corners of the hotel.
Highly recommend for couples, friends, family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.
To start with the good points: the staff was overall friendly and the view over the caldera is nice.
However, the "superior" room we got (for which we paid extra) was supposed to have a spa bath (aka jacuzzi which did not work and there was no shower, resulting in us having to squat in the tub holding the shower head because the bathroom has a super low ceiling of maximum 1,50m over the Bathtub area), a private balcony (the balcony is on pool level literally 1m over the swimming pool which not only means that everyone on the pool terrace can see your balcony 100% and also look into the room giving zero privacy, but you also hear every conversation. That room is completely exposed even though we paid extra to not be on pool level. Also the shower for the pool is directly next to the room and you hear the pipes and others showering very clearly) and high-quality bedding (the mattress was extremely overused. Completely laid-through, we could feel every metal spring in our backs making sleeping there very uncomfortable).
Additionally, next to our room was a very noisy generator and water pipes that would make intervals of loud sounds (someone from the staff came to check it out and assured us it would stop after 10 minutes. It continued the whole 3 days of our stay at random intervals. We had to use ear plugs to sleep).
The restaurant with the terrace overlooking the bay was closed which was not mentioned before and the "spa" is a hot tub that you need to book for 20€ for half an hour.
After arriving and seeing the unacceptable bathroom situation and lack of privacy, we asked to change rooms which was said to not be possible. We asked for not checking in but rather moving to another hotel but hotel management refused to refund our money at all (management also does not speak to guests. Apparently it recently changed so that could explain the previous good reviews, but hospitality from management is non-existant. The staff needs to call management on the phone for everything and despite us being very interested in finding a good solution, nothing was offered to us except 10€ discount on the room (an amount ridiculously small when you pay over 200€ a night)). Booking.com wanted to help us and agreed that the situation is unacceptable. They tried to get the hotel management to let us change to a different accommodation but they refused.
Overall, this is definitely not a luxury experience and I would recommend staying somewhere else. There were several hotels with the same view and price point but offering a much better room situation and even private pools and terraces (we visited them hoping to be able to change).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this hotel! Probably the experience changes depending on your room, but ours was a premium one and it couldn’t be more horrendous. The hotel is quite old, if you are paying extra for a room with a hot tub, keep in mind they don't work in any of the rooms, plus the ceiling is so low you won't even be able to take a shower if you are not sitting. Most of the balconies point at the swimming pool so there is no privacy at all, particularly ours was literally 1 meter over the pool, with guests and staff constantly walking in front of it. The balcony also got incredibly hot even in early May, so it's impossible to sit on it during the day.
The Spa is essentially a bathtub and a sauna that you need to book for 20€ each. The beds are like 30 years old, completely soft and bended. The breakfast, basic, nothing home made and it was completely cold by 10am.
But the worst problem by far is the noise in the room, we had a constant generator noise right next to our room, plus pipe noises and some other vacuum-like noises, day and night. We had to buy earplugs so we could sleep.
This place is really nothing as they advertise, even the pictures in booking with the terrace are from a restaurant that was not even operating when we arrived, you can’t even access that terrace despite being empty.
We tried to cancel the booking since there were plenty of better options at this price point, but they didn't let us. Also the staff didn’t offer any solution or alternative at all. We feel absolutely scammed
