The Vasilicos, Caldera Heritage Suites - Agios Nicolaos

We are actually booked for an upcoming trip over here. After having done a lot of research, we finally decided to select this hotel based on reviews, locations, and highly recommended chef! We wrote to them for reservations ahead of the trip and they are already helping us. Excited to visit Santorini now and check the hotel out ?

Words do not describe the beauty of this place. From the breath-taking views and picture perfect sunsets, this was truly a beautiful place to stay while in Santorini. The staff and service was 10/10! Everyone was so friendly and always made sure that my wife and I had everything we needed, it made us feel like we were right at home! We didn’t want to leave, but will definitely be coming back!

Our stay at The Vasilicos was beyond our expectations. They were incredibly helpful throughout our reschedules, cancellations, and more reschedules due to the pandemic. Once we finally were able to travel, we had further delays just trying to get over to the island due to weather and when we finally arrived (sleepily off a rough 7 hour ferry ride at 7am), we were greeted with warmth, kindness, care, and understanding (and a beautiful plate of snacks carefully laid out). The hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS. The location is incredible (unbeatable) and our stay in the Vasilicos suite was perfection. The staff was incredibly kind, patient and friendly. They took genuine interest in getting to know us and our travel and made us feel at home even when we were so tired from our travel woes and only there for a short while. The breakfasts every morning are AMAZING. The view is next level. And they even arranged an absolutely beautiful private candlelight dinner for us indoors due to the strong winds that made it difficult for us to have the dinner on our terrace as-planned. They had a wonderful book collection in partnership with Atlantis books and allowed us to bring a book home with us. They arranged for a seamless transfer to our other hotel on the island in Oia, which ended up being such a help because little did we know how tricky the area would be to find our hotel.

I'll preface by saying, I have yet to complete my stay at The Vasilicos. My trip (booked through Hotels.com) was cancelled in the spring of 2020 because of COVID and over the course of the next 2 years, I could not have been more impressed with the customer service from the team at The Vasilicos. Every step of the way, Hotels.com made the process of rescheduling an absolute nightmare, which has yet to be resolved. Conversely, The Vasilicos team has been prompt, responsive, attentive, and considerate every step of the way. Konstantina, in particular, has been an absolute blessing during such a chaotic and uncertain time. I would recommend The Vasilicos to anyone and can't want to finally make it there with my wife in the near future!

Any words we try to write will not be enough to describe the experience we had at The Vasilicos. The resort is spacious, intimate, and nestled perfectly on the caldera amongst Imerovigli. We stayed in the Vasilikos suite and loved the spacious patio for our daily breakfast- which was absolutely delicious. The sunset from the suites rivals any other location on the island. While the resort alone is enough to make you want to stay the experience from the staff us unlike anything you could imagine. There are not enough wonderful things to be said about the staff - taking care of anything and everything needed and always going above and beyond without you even having to ask. Every detail from the time we arrived until departure was carefully thought out and prepared for. Kiri- like a long lost friend, both Chris’, Vagelis, Sandy, and the entire team - we THANK YOU! This was an unforgettable trip and we are already dreaming of returning.

Words cannot describe the beauty of The Vasilicos; it is situated high up with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. There are only seven rooms, each unique and different, which makes it feel very intimate. But what really makes this places special is the staff. They were so friendly, knowledgable, welcoming, and professional. The chef does an amazing job and we had one of the best dinners of our entire trip here. It truly is a magical place and I hope we have the opportunity to stay again!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I couldn’t say enough positive things about this place. It was absolutely incredible & unlike any other hotel experience I’ve ever had. Between the staff & the views, this place is a dream come true. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are having a great stay and are SO kind. I cannot wait to come back. This is a must stay hotel if you visit Santorini!

Where do I even BEGIN?! This was the most spectacular vacation spot we’ve ever been to. The location. The view. THE VIEW! The staff. I repeat, THE STAFF. They made the entire experience the best we’ve ever had and I don’t say that lightly! The breakfast in the morning is the freshest food you will ever eat. But wait, then the chef brings you dinner on the terrace and THAT’S the freshest food you will ever eat. Every single detail is monitored and tailored to and appreciated. And our specific vacation was SO memorable because of one of the nicest Grecians we’ve ever met — Kiri, I’m looking at you! This man and his entire team know what you need and want before you’ve even finished a sentence. They are so calming and exist without you even knowing they are there. Kiri welcomed us with open arms and treated us to cocktails made by his own hands to introduce us to the island flavors. He taught us about the culture, the food, the wine, EVERYTHING. We felt like we were on vacation with long lost family we actually LIKE! Kiri, THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart, you are amazing. Folks, I swear on my life you won’t be disappointed. The view will literally take your breath away but the service will make you cry — it’s that good!!!! We stayed in the Pergola sweet and LOVED IT. I highly recommend it. We had our own pool but we were close enough to the larger pool to join if we wanted to and I loved having some shade! Also, for anyone with dietary restrictions — fear not. The chef will accommodate you in ANY WAY you need. The rooms are so incredibly comfy and spacious and the bathrooms were so beautiful. Every day — Daphne, your team is perfection and I wish we could meet! Thank you Vasilicos team! WE WILL BE BACK!!
