Island Beach Resort - kavos

Leaving Island Beach today with a very heavy heart, the best spot in Kavos!!! Have to give the upmost respect to Mary, definately goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are looked after, Dimitri was great company and thankyou to Turi for my mango ? cocktail!!! Food here was delicious and very reasonably priced, rooms were large and clean and overall this place was second to none, pool was great and the proximity to the Beach was unreal, I will definately be returning!!!

The place is decent, but a couple of things could be better. In general, it is important to point out, this is a party hotel - it is perfect to ages 18-23 ish. If you come here to relax, you will be disappointed. We didn't read that clearly so we just thought there were a few party events. The positive stuff: The staff is great - very polite and kind. They wish to do their best to give you a great stay. The area is beautiful. The pool area is nice, and the beach is in the backyard - which makes it easy to go from the hotel/pool to the beach. The negative stuff: It is not very clean. We had cleaning once a week, and she just washed the floor with a mob. The toilet was still dirty, the toilet was dirty ad well as the small kitchen area. Every second day someone came to change the towels and the toiletpaper. They only gave us 1 toilet paper roll for 4 people, which had to last for 2 days. Because of this, we had to buy toilet paper ourselves twice. We didn't get any hand soap either, which we had to get ourselves as well. The toilets at the pool area didn't have any soap or hand towels either. It is stated, that they have someone here 24 hours, seven days a week. Twice we needed to find someone, and the reception was closed. Airconditionen isn't included in the price, which is incomprehensible as the weather is so warm one can't sleep or be in it without. We knew, there would be music and partying, but not to how much. This is completely our fault for not reading about, but the music is so loud during the day, it isn't possible to relax at the pool area too much. Lastly, we don't recommend the food at the restaurant/bar.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. we booked 2 annex rooms for 8 but they gave us 4 rooms of 2 at least 250m away from the hotel we was meant to be staying at. Stay away if booking for a big group!!

Very nice and welcoming staff especially dimitri and philios. I feel at home and always having our needs met. Room is nice with a good view of the beach. Highly recommend

Excellent location arrived here Wednesday it's ideally suited to younger people but we are all over 50 the staff Philios and Dimitri and all the staff couldn't be nicer. 2 minutes from beach shops and restaurants I would definitely recommend and I would come back again

Dmitri was a lovely host, he was friendly and kind, took care of us and also helped us with activities. All staff members were so kind and welcoming. If I have another chance to come here I will definitely take it. Beautiful friendly vibes, not one second I wasn't smiling.

So disappointed in this hotel. Was stuck in the annex with no catering facilities except a kettle. Pointless really as no cups, no cutlery etc. the noise from the neighbouring hotel is horrendous. Initially we were given a pool view. This looked over to the quayside village hotel, which is a party hotel. Music blaring, people screaming at all hours. Given 2nd room, not much better. By the 3rd day I had to ask to be moved altogether. The noise, and lack of facilities. I was moved to the Lemon Grove hotel. So much nicer. My only issue is that it does seem to be an overflow hotel from Island beach, so a lot of young ones arrived there. The food at Island beach is expensive. They also charge an extra euro if your paying by card; which I wasn’t told till my second transaction. If your over 30 do not use this hotel. It’s really for the young party people. The cleaning was terrible. Everything about the annex is terrible. Please avoid .
