★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you think of a cozy spot where you can enjoy a meal, or an evening in a small-town yet cosmopolitan atmosphere, Tsiknas in Theologos is your place. Tonight, two Americans are here with an Australian couple, a few Greek families with children and five older Greek men playing cards. We sit on the patio outdoors watching a full moon rise over the hills just to the east...simply beautiful. The food was minimal for us but still, Greek beer, tsiporo and some mezze carried us for over an hour as we watched people, played cards, ate and drank in this ancient town....the owner and his wife, along with their help were alert, available and...like most grecian taverna owners, generous. We can't wait to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tipical Greek village tavern in the mountains. With grey hairs wise men playing cards and backgammon and enjoying their glass of Ouzos. The meals where alright. Clearly, the burger is not a speciality of the house and the red stuffed peppers where not, too stuffed. Highly recommended is the octopus dry in the sun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a lovely authentic place to stop and enjoy a meal or a drink. Some English is spoken and after ordering sit back and enjoy as time crawl’s past relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I would have loved to stay longer but had to continue walking through this village to meet my pick up person. ???
