Family run. All food from their farm. Very tasty. Lunch on their patio under the grape arbor. Well worth it!

Simple menu, delicious Cretan food. Sit in the large yard in cool shade in summer. Ideal to take a break when driving back from Sougia.:)

You must go in Pandrosos! The food is perfect and the location magnificent. One of the best places to eat (or drink) in the area. Really authentic taste of Crete.

We were welcomed even though they were having a birthday celebration. Very friendly staff. A small and cozy place. The food was quite simple but tasty.

This is NOT a tourist trap; nice home-made cretan food, top-quality products, beautiful scenery, kind and smiling owners, cicadas that sing their souls out.. An unpretentious traditional 'kafenio' in the heart of the mountainous Cretan hinterland, on the main road towards Agia Irini gorge and Sougia beach. Do yourselves a favor and stop there in order to see it with your own eyes!

Nice place! Authentic and tasty greek food, run by a local family with very fair prices. A perfect break on the Road between Sougia and Chania.

Hidden gem in the mountains on your way to Sougia beach!!! You can seat either outside (summertime) below the shadow of the huge "platanos" (=maple type tree) or inside (wintertime) the kafenío (=coffee place of the village) next to the wood stove! The place is recently renovated with great respect to its old style version! The food everytime is delicious since Mrs Sofia uses only good quality, local products to cook with love! Go for the "tsigariastó" (=slow cooked lamb in the pot), "buréki" (=local delicacy with potatoes, zucchini and fresh white local cheese baked in the oven), "sikotákia stifádo" (=liver, lungs, heart & spleen from the lamb slow cooked with tomato, onions, wine, cinnamon & cloves) & of course the "kaltsúnia" (=local two-bite pies with spinach and cheese or plain ones with just cheese baked on a hot, cast iron grill plate). Also do not miss the "stáka" (=creamy, dairy local product) combined with "patátes tiganités" (=potato fries)! Highly recommended!!!

I am really happy to find this in google! I visited this place 2 years ago and was thrilled with the great ?coffee and homemade "kalitaounia". We will be in Crete in November, will try to visit one more time, unless covid safety measures has it closed again, hope not.
