★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited on 07/19/2017 the tavern of Kalados Studios at Naxos Greece and I was impressed by wonderful view, excellent service, delicious food , friendly environment, very good road access from Naxos Chora and sandy clear beach for swimming. I recommend it for everybody. 5 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After docking the boat at Kalandos bay south of Naxos we start looking for a place to eat. There were only two taverns and we decided to go to the one that looked clean. The view was nice and the lady owner came to take our order. My friend order mousaka and I ordered fresh calamari. I asked twice if it was fresh and she assured me that it was. When my food arrived long after my friend had almost finished the mousaka I kind of thought there was something wrong just by looking at it. I had fresh calamari at Koufonissi and this one was very different. It reminded me of the frozen ones you find at the supermarket. My mistake is that I had about half the portion on my plate. After that I had digestive symptoms such as bloating and gas. This went on for hours. It cost us 45euros for a mousaka, Greek salad, calamari, french fries and a beer. That’s expensive in Naxos island. We will not go back to this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used only the restaurant. The view is nice and the nearby beach is one of the best we visited.
If you avoid anything related to fish you will be charged for a descent meal and a beer some 20 EUR per person which is very expensive for Naxos.
Beware of the road to the restaurant, it's car breaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kalados is a remarkable place "in the middle of nowhere" and has a feeling of remoteness The beach is really nice and the hotel has great views.
Rooms are clean and spacious but very basic.
The taverna is decent with local products (very good local cheese) but stick to meat and avoid the fish!!
Prices are quite high for Naxos and the location - the taverna is definitely overpriced.
(repeat: better to avoid the fish!)
