Incredible place, extreme views and lovely staff. Asos should be an UNESCO heritage. It is lovely. Bucketlist town to visit. Great place to stay. Marilena is a lovely person.

The waves echo inside the rooms and the village of Assos is simply amazing. Just five minutes walk from the small picturesque town and of course the turquoise waters that surround the beautiful lush green hill with the Venetian castle on top. Assos is a truly unique place and the visitors of Kefalonia often admit that it is the best part of their journey. Few, get to also stay here, and enjoy this beauty. Take long walks at the narrow peninsula and feel the breeze as you head up to the castle with rich history and memories. When up, the 1593 fortress will reveal it's secrets and will offer a 360º breathtaking view of the area. The host, Marilena, is so hospitalable. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. For example, at short notice she let me use her personal kitchen to cook a meal, giving up her free time to check if I had all the utensils I needed. The pool is a good size, clean and has the most wonderful views. The breakfasts are amazing. All the below are home-made and freshly-made by Marilena each morning: Greek scrambled egg, Greek yougurt and honey, rice pudding, toast with tomatoes and feta cheese, cakes/buscuits. Then she adds on Corrnflakes and fruit! The rooms are cleaned immaculately each day.

Terrible owners we booked and looked forward to our trip but the owner double Booked. Now we have to cancel our trip because there is no availability in asos. Just terrible and super unprofessional.

Quiet place. I feel relaxed here and well welcomed like home. Clean, cozy, feel like never leave this place. We usually explore around the next day of arrival but this time we choose to stay and relax a day before start exploring.

1 day before our arrival we are told there is a double booking. And thus our stay is cancelled. This is unacceptable. We booked this holiday 4 months in advance and chose the spot with great care. Can't recommend

Please help out the locals by feeding the cats, they are very grateful for the help and they love the cats just like their own!
