★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good food and service. Had lamb stew and lamb chops and the portions were good, the quality of the meat is excellent. On Sundays there is live music quiet nice. The team is efficient and nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What they offer in Kanelis is unique around Platanias. Here you will find lamb antikristo, fried snails, unique locally brewed beer, the cretan "pancakes". The staff were nice and knowledgeable. Possibly the restaurant felt a bit understaffed, but the overall experience was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One simple word: AMAZING with capital letters. The food was great. The service was fast. The staff were the most polite, friendly, helpful, energetic and fun that we have ever seen. Totally recommend to go there on Sundays when they also have live Greek music. The atmosphere was just fantastic. REMEMBER to book a table though. My wife and I had a great time here and were lucky to get a seat although we hadn't booked a table. We enjoyed the lovely dinner, and we laughed a lot during the night as the staff and especially the manager were super energetic, sometimes dancing to the songs, ...
We tried the greek salad, snails, the rabit made in wine, and oven baked chicken. All made to perfection (the rabit was the best). I also highly recommend any dish from the grill. The grill master really knows his job and next time we go there, we would indeed go for the grill dishes. For desert we had orange pie with ice cream which was also fantastic. All in all, super great experience with a reasonable price.

The atmosphere is the best I've had in Crete, the staff is friendly, funny and professinal, and the food tasted great.
