★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightful service, a beautiful view, and amazing food. The tzatziki was to die for and we went back twice to eat their famed gluten free chocolate and orange cake. The owners were super friendly and accommodating, and the garden was out of a fairy tale. We can’t wait to come back another year to Kefalonia for the enchanting Kastro Cafe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning setting just outside the castle entrance. Only had a Greek coffee, which was delicious and was accompanied by a couple of small and very much unexpected sweet treats. The welcome was friendly and fun. Menu looked very well priced and would have been delicious, undoubtedly. Thoroughly recommend a visit if even to marvel at the stunning views and flowers potted around the various terraces. Suitably ambient music wafted quietly through the vines and shading trees adding to the perfect moment. English spoken and card payments accepted. Pop in, you won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really lovely place to visit which has stunning views. It is surrounded by plants which give it a lovely peaceful atmosphere.
The food is really good and I definitely recommend the special kebab.
This place is a definite must to visit when on Kefalonia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb service, superb food. The best spinach pie and apple pie we’ve ever had. Thank you for taking good care of us on such a hot day. Loads of fresh water with ice helped us a lot after we’d visited the castle.

We have came here three or four times all these years ago and we have been comparing the cafe to other great restaurants and cafes all around the world ever since. I am pleased to report, on this occasion our memories have been true to the reality. This is our favourite restaurant in the world. The food is great, always fresh, staff friendly and helpful, location the best you could ever imagine. I would have rated it 10 stars if I could.
