Kastro Mansion - Epar.Od. Pirgou Kallistis - Profiti Ilia 10

After an unexpected cancellation of our AirBnB we were able to secure two apartment suites at Kastro Mansion with Irene. We had an amazing experience and nothing was too much; Irene was super helpful in getting us settled, was easy to reach, and provide recommendations in the local area. The suites were both 2 bed room, one had 2 bathrooms and the other 1 bathroom and an outdoor shower which came in handy after using the jacuzzi. Both suites were immaculate and clean, in the style of traditional Greek cave homes. Located right on Pyrgos square, but set up high so extremely quiet and relaxing. Great access to local cafes with amazing food which is well priced for Santorini. Irene was the perfect host - we will be sure to visit again.

Great location, spacious clean snd comfortable suite and the host was amazing! She went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Santorini!

Looked promising but the hosts quickly let us down. Someone was waiting for us at the airport and took our bags to the villa which was great. The daily maid service was also wonderful. So that was the only saving grace for the star. Suppose to provide breakfast, we got it one day and then the hosts never answered calls for us to make our selection for the following days. We were traveling with two toddlers so they were especially cranky when they had to wait hours for breakfast. The day before we left no one had contacted us about our departure arrangements so we made our own. Then at 10pm the hosts reached out said they would be there in the morning to help us bring our bags down and would have a shuttle. Well the shuttle arrived on time and was quite wonderful but Micheal never showed up to bring our bags down until we were leaving. Looked as though he had a hard night out so that was why he was 30 minutes late.

This would of made it to a 5 star review but unfortunately our checkout was pretty terrible. It was almost a 3 star but everything else was pretty much perfect so I've gotta give them a 4. We got upgraded to a premium suite on check-in and Irene was super helpful on with advice on the area. On our exit unfortunately, things didn't go so smoothly. We had message Irene 2 days before that we wanted to check out early at 9.45 am to make our flight. The donkey was arranged and a shuttle to take us to the airport that day. When it came to the time of check out, luggage donkey was a no show, so we had to take the luggage down ourselves, wasn't entirely pleasant. When we got to the area to meet the shuttle, we couldn't find anyone who was taking us to the airport. We asked everyone of them, and they were not the cab that was requested for us. So we quickly had the cafe nearby to call for a cab, and made the airport on time. Just a message to kastro mansion in the future, errors like this can cost your clients money, and reading the reviews, we're not the only ones who have had a bad experience on check out. It can really sour a positive review, and a note to Irene, we really do appreciate your help on check in and generally over the stay, but you need to work on your customer experience on check out. You told us the shuttle was waiting at the bus area, we went down to exactly where we met you the first time and asked every shuttle and taxi there, and nothing. Other than that, our holiday was fantastic thanks again.

Very lovely place to stay. We got upgraded to the Atlantis House. Irene was very helpful from the day we made the booking. Breakfast at Botargo restaurant is awesome. One downside is that you have to pay extra 10 euro if you need donkey to carry your luggage during check out. We were not told about this beforehand, would be nice if this was made clear on the first day.

Avoid! To be transparent, I never ended up at the property and I am sure that the property itself is amazing. However, if you do not want last minute surprises, avoid at all costs. I read the previous reviews and some had already mention the poor communication of the host. Regardless, I booked the property via SecretEscapes. When I messaged her to see if everything went through ok, I received no response, I e-mailed again - no response….I eventually got through via phone call where she said to me (without any apologies) that she saw my messages but the property appears overbooked so there is no space for me. She promised she would send a detailed E-Mail in the evening. Surprise, surprise - nothing. I eventually found out via Secret Escapes after contacting Customer Service, that the property is no longer available and that I should cancel my trip. I already booked flights and everything. Overbooking can happen but the way this was dealt with was unacceptable. I waited with this review for a few days to give the lady the chance to message, but nothing. Anyway, if you want a relaxed trip to Santorini, I highly suggest another property.

Our stay was incredible. The apartments are authentic architecture and have the feeling of a cave. The view from the hilltop on Pyrgos were breathtaking. Irene was kind friendly and helpful with every detail of our visit. We loved every minute of it ❤ ? ♥

5 star accommodation! We were staying at „Zeus“ for 11 nights. If you want a couples‘ dream vacation, we do highly recommend this apartment. Irene our host was very very friendly and was available any time for any questions. And thank you so very very much for the upgrade to Zeus, Irene. The apartment was clean and the housekeeping did a great job too. The only teeny tiny thing you should know is there is a 5 minutes walk up from the main square in Pyrgos to reach the accommodation. So you have to be prepared to do that before you can enjoy a great view with a lovely sunset every evening. We really hope to visit this place again!! (BTW, being on vacation doesn‘t mean you have to switch off your brain. There is always a quick way to organise yourself on the island and in Pyrgos.)
